Talladega Superspeedway was created as a palace of speed in 1969 by NASCAR founder Bill France, Sr., who coined it “the Greatest Race Track in the World.” At a mammoth 2.66-miles with 33 degrees of banking in the turns, it is NASCAR’s Most Competitive venue. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Locking/unlocking doors and gates at designated times.
• Screening all persons seeking access to ticketed and/or secure areas.
• Providing crowd control.
• Patrolling the property and monitoring for unwanted, unsafe, or suspicious behavior.
• Assisting guests with questions and providing directions.
• Assisting with the setup of perimeter fences and barricades.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Prior customer service experience is strongly preferred.
• LEO experience.
• Alabama state certified LEO.
OTHER SKILLS, ABILITIES, and/or QUALIFICATIONS
• Minimum age 18 years old.
• Adhere to the company’s substance abuse policy.

THE JOB
Responsible for monitoring/maintaining the safety and security of the venue. This includes guest searches, crowd control, conflict resolution and overall customer service.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
* Circulate among guests and/or employees to preserve safety, order and to protect the venue property.
* Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, guests and other persons.
* Guard against theft and maintain safety and security of the premises.
* Located throughout the venue to ensure guests are conducting themselves in a safe manner that is not disrupting the event.
* Monitor crowd for behavior that needs to be addressed by venue management or law enforcement personnel.
* Operate detecting devices to screen individuals and prevent passage of prohibited articles into the venue. This includes searching bags, purses, etc.

CLASS DESCRIPTION
Baltimore City Department of Recreation and Parks is seeking several Community Aide/Event Staff to assist our Special Facilities Division with logistical management or operations of various private events such as birthday parties, live music and social galas. The selected candidates will be on a list of event staff who will be notified when work is available and can select to work up to 25 hours per week. Evening and weekend hours will be required. They will be responsible for event set-up and break down. The Event Staff receives, disseminates, enforces rules, regulations and protocols of events as well as maintains, distributes and accounts for materials, equipment and supplies. Work may require moderate physical exertion. Incumbents receive general supervision from a technical superior. Work is performed where there is no exposure to uncomfortable working conditions. Work may require moderate physical exertion. Work may require standing for long periods of time in hot or cold environments, light physical activity, and lifting not to exceed 30lbs.

Primary Responsibilities:
Work with Solution Architects and Subject Matter Experts (SME’s) to document, write, and articulate solutions and corporate experience against proposal requirements.
Assignments will include, but are not limited to, leading written responses to technical, management, corporate experience, staffing rationale, resumes, and transition sections. Ability to understand RFP requirements and respond with compliant and compelling solutions.
Work as part of a collaborative team to clearly articulate solution and strategy, approach to performing the work, experience, win themes, and discriminators.

Required Qualifications:

Evidence of a successful track record of high quality, high scoring proposals.
Demonstrated success writing and leading technical, management, transition, staffing, and/or corporate experience & past performance volumes for complex efforts.
