Au sein de la Direction Systèmes d'Informations, vous intégrerez le service Software Asset Management (SAM - 10 personnes ) qui définit les process, enregistre, analyse et supervise les données qui concourent à la bonne gestion de la conformité (au regards des droits d'usages acquis) et à l'optimisation du patrimoine logiciel de Thales.

En nous rejoignant, vos principales missions seront les suivantes :

Dans le cadre de vos missions, au sein du service SAM, vous serez en charge de la mise en place, l'amélioration continue autour de ces données en ayant une vision bout en bout du cycle de vie des logiciels et licences ( logiciels au poste de travail, logiciels d'infrastructure et middleware, applications métier / de gestion )

Ces données proviennent de sources diverses correspondant aux différentes étapes du cycle de vie des logiciels et licences. :

- référentiel de composants logiciels, référentiel des licences vendues par les éditeurs

- données de déploiements issues d'inventaires outillés ou de déclaratifs,

- données sur les contrats logiciels, données sur le patrimoine acquis et actif ( métriques, quantités, échéances clés, support, périmètre d’usage , …. )

Summary: 

CRD is currently expanding the capabilities of our products in several new areas. The Senior Software Engineer / Java Developer will work on developing new Java middle tier / server side functionality for the system. This position will involve new product development and requires financial software experience or alternatively a strong understanding and interest in financial markets.

Requirements

• BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent field is REQUIRED

  • hands-on experience with web services
  • strong SQL skills with considerable experience in Oracle or SQL Server

[What the role is]
The Civil Aviation Authority, together with Thales established the Aviation Innovation Research (AIR) Laboratory in Singapore in 2019. This laboratory facilitates innovation and collaboration between CAAS and Thales for the next generation Air Traffic Management (ATM) systems. Sited at WeWork’s flagship location in Suntec, AIR lab aims to develop and demonstrate future ATM Proof-of-Concepts (PoCs) leveraging on emerging technologies such as machine learning and artificial intelligence.

CAAS software engineers / architects together with our Air Traffic Controllers (ATCOs) and ATM domain experts will be working in concert with Thales engineers in the development of these PoCs. We are seeking motivated individuals to be part of this team to collaborate with Thales in the development of the ATM PoCs.

You will work closely with various internal stakeholders as well as Thales engineers to design, develop and test software components with the defined functional baseline of the PoCs. You are expected to display a high level of technical proficiency in back-end software design and development while being flexible, proactive and comfortable with learning a new domain, new concepts and new techniques. You will be working on various components of a new, innovative and Cloud-native platform with a combined CAAS-Thales Agile team. Your key strengths and interests should be in Core Java, low latency programming, real time software, micro-services and Cloud-native applications.

Most of your time will be spent at the AIR Lab located at Wework in Suntec Tower 5, with occasional meetings and/or briefings requiring you to return to CAAS Offices in Changi Airport. You will provide decision support for projects and new initiatives, including procurement advisory to achieve value for money in project outcomes. You will provide, continuously review and improve the monthly spend analysis to enhance governance, results and increase operational efficiencies in procurement. You will support the development of financial plans, including long-term financial projections, budgets and forecasts.

• Strong knowledge in common integration patterns including cloud-native patterns such as microservices and, streaming such as lambda and kappa patterns.
• Successful development and deployment of public Application Program Interfaces (APIs) for web services using REST, RESTful web services and API Gateways.
• Good knowledge of Cloud technologies and Cloud-native architectures for system design and delivery. Knowledge of specific Cloud supplier platform services, in particular Kubernetes,
• Knowledge of messaging broker middleware / COTS packages such as Kafka producer / consumer and Kafka Streams

• Knowledge and practical experience of virtualized and containerized deployments and their Linux foundations

• Effective user of I/SDE and Gitlab (or equivalent) environments and able to quickly construct SW projects and efficiently carry out debugging and project increment delivery in constrained environments.
• Knowledge of real time software development and safety critical systems

We are looking for 2 Lead Data Architects to take pivotal roles within our Data Growth and Operations (DGO) directorate - the area that provides the statistical infrastructure (in the broadest sense) and underpinning frameworks necessary to enable the Office for National Statistics (ONS), the Government Statistical Service (GSS) and the wider research community to make better use of data.

Reporting directly to the Chief Data Architect, you will be jointly responsible for more than 20 Data Architects - one of the largest dedicated data architecture teams in the public sector - and help to coordinate and direct the work of our two primary teams (data design & metadata governance). You will also be at the centre of much of ONS' work with central government and other departments, and your leadership will drive data standards & architecture across all of government.

As an accomplished Data Architect, you've got a deep understanding of the importance of good metadata & consistent data models; you've previously developed and rolled out a data standardisation strategy within an organisation; you've worked in multi-disciplinary teams with the primary aim of enabling effective data management in an organisation; and you have experience working proactively to ensure data management & architecture is at the forefront of consideration where any transformation programmes are concerned.

In addition to these expertise, you'll be capable of engaging and communicating with lots of varied stakeholders, with different levels of technical knowledge, data understanding and seniority. You can work strategically to solve complex problems as they arise, and can coordinate your team to implement both solutions and preventative measures.
