WHAT YOU WILL DO
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Routine work
- Provides engineering and troubleshooting support with the goal to increase operational efficiencies and minimize maintenance expenses.
- Coach technicians on troubleshooting technical problems.
- Provides engineering support to both corrective and preventive maintenance.
- Provide support on installation, modification, fabrication, testing, servicing and repairs of equipment instruments that comply to site change control procedures, good engineering practices and GMP.
- Collect and analyse data and follow up with recommendation to improve equipment’s reliability and reduce equipment failures.
- Develop/ improve maintenance programme to maintain plant assets. Guide, review and modify the PM to improve equipment reliability.
- Ensure smooth equipment operation by close monitoring of equipment condition. Carryout RCA to improve product quality and equipment reliability.
- Prepare Annual Trend Analysis Reports, documentation by collecting analysing and summarising information and trends. Manage the reliability equipment database.
- Perform maintenance activities and analyse reliability data to improve equipment health and performance.
Project work
- Manages maintenance related projects, CAPA Actions, schedule, costs and quality utilizing proper controls.
- Ensures that projects deliverables are met and all associated documentation is established
- Provides engineering support in the scoping, development, execution and documentation of upgrade projects.
Others
- Performs job assignments by Supervisor pertaining to equipment/ instrument or system or documentation or housekeeping.
- Development of technical procedures associated with areas of responsibilities
- Participate in HSE, Business Compliance, cGMP and all other compliance related matters, where applicable.
- Supervise and oversee Third Party Contractors, where applicable
- Able to influence stakeholders or business leaders and to build trust throughout the organisation.
- Any other duties as and when assigned by the Managers.
WHAT YOU MUST HAVE
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Degree in Electrical/Electronics, Instrumentation and Control, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering
- 3 - 5 years of related experience in maintenance function, preferably in API manufacturing plant
- Good knowledge of cGMP and safety regulations of pharmaceutical industry.
- Demonstrates a knowledge of Engineering and Compliance standards
- Demonstrates excellent problem solving skills ie provides solutions which are practical for implementation.
- Able to properly assess the situation and understand when to escalate to a higher levels
- Knowledge in root cause analysis, able to analyse information from a variety of sources to make sound decisions
- Ability to work independently
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and SAP.
- Good knowledge on Failure Modes of Equipment Reliability Processes

- PMETs/Mid-Careerist with more than 2 years working experience
- Open to two years contract
