Bachelor of science in engineering degree from an ABET accredited educational institution and eight (8) or more years of experience in the area of assigned engineering responsibility. LICENSES/CERTIFICATES
Valid State of Florida Professional Engineer license may be required.
Must meet the FBPE requirements as defined in Chapter 471 of the Florida Statute and obtain and maintain “Professional Engineer” Licensing as required by Water/Wastewater Engineering, Public Works, Energy Delivery and Principal Engineers assigned to the water/wastewater, and special projects areas of Strategic Planning.

Purpose Statement:
Provide Process/Quality Engineering support to manufacturing and projects helping to ensure delivery of highest quality product to the customer. Provide Process/Quality Engineering support to product development teams, helping to ensure development of highest quality new products. Will be the liaison to cross function departments (for example Research and Development, Operations and other Quality Functions). Must be able to analyze data and assist in interpreting the data. Develop and implement investigation process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for compliance with applicable corporate and divisional policies and procedures. Estimates project levels of effort and resource requirements by using standard estimating techniques and tools, and by working with appropriate staff to understand scope of effort.
2. Prepares project plans, schedules and budgets by using project management tools such as Microsoft Project and by working with appropriate staff to understand tasks necessary to complete project.
3. Directs project execution by assigning tasks, tracking project schedules, identifying risks, and developing and executing contingency plans. Communicates project status by preparing standard status reports, and by participating in departmental and customer project status update meetings.
4. Resolves project issues by working with team members, project customers, and others as appropriate. Translates business strategy into meaningful objectives and day-to-day activities required to accomplish them.
5. Identifies and controls manufacturing process defects (scrap, nonconforming material, customer complaints) by participating in efforts/teams focused on identifying the primary root causes and implementing corrective and preventative actions. May be responsible for querying and bounding data to support implementation of complex and documenting release criteria.
6. Develops product quality plans, documents and systems by creating product specifications, quality specifications and quality plans in conjunction with other product development team members. May be responsible for creating risk analyses andFailure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA).
7. Develops process monitoring systems by identifying critical process steps applying methods to reduce process variation in order to reduce/eliminate the cause of defects. Leads process improvement efforts by identifying methods to capture quality metric data and by performing appropriate analysis methods to enhance sustaining product design and new product development.
8. Assists in creation of quality tools and training materials by understanding the limitations of existing quality tools and training materials, and by helping to identify more effective tools and materials.
9. Participates in validation activity. Role may vary between providing input to owning activities such as protocol/report writing and managing execution of validation activities.
Education & Job Skills
National Framework of Qualifications level 7 qualification in a relevant discipline and 4+years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.

What You Will Achieve
The role of the Quality Operations Manager is to support the Quality Lead in establishing and maintaining an appropriate and sustainable Product Quality System and Quality Culture at the Pfizer Country Office (PCO) in order to ensure compliance with Pfizer and Regulatory Authority expectations.
In addition, the QO Manager will act as delegate for the Quality Lead in the investigation and resolution of all product quality issues discovered or originating in the Pfizer Country Office (PCO) and for interacting with the relevant local stakeholders (such as Regulatory Affairs, Medical) and Pfizer Global Supply (PGS) on such issues.
