The laboratory of Dr. Sean Morrison at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center is seeking a Research Specialist II. Sean Morrison wants to understand the mechanisms that regulate stem cell self-renewal and how cancer cells hijack these mechanisms to enable tumor formation. To do this, Morrison and his team compare the processes by which stem cells and cancer cells replicate themselves. They are also studying the influence of aging on these processes. A more detailed understanding of these mechanisms has the potential to yield new therapies for regenerative medicine, by promoting stem cell self-renewal in the context of tissue injury, and in cancer, by inhibiting these mechanisms. Your new role
This role will be leading a team of 5 learning and development specialists that look after the delivery and strategy of EMEA across fee earners and business support staff. You will be a trust advisor to the partners, developing their staff strategy and how to develop the skillset to drive the business strategy forward. You'll be designing key strategies such as junior lawyer development, business development skills and reassessing the L&D supply chain. Executive coaching will be a big part of this role, where you'll have key exposure to how the business is lead.
What you'll need to succeed
You must have recent experience of working in a Law Firm, ideally with experience of partner stakeholder management. Experience of working in a global matrix organisation is key, as you'll be reporting into the Global head of L&D based in the US, and will understand the challenges and complexities of international learning and development plans.
What you'll get in return
