Your new role
As a Business Intelligence Developer / Analyst, you will be a key member of the Data team, working closely with IT, Finance and Operations to deliver the business reporting requirements in a timely and consistent manner.
You will be responsible for developing and providing trusted data on performance, financial positions, and other metrics to aid decision-making across the business. You will also provide tactical information to end users to support process improvement and efficiency.
You will use your skills and experience in data warehousing, data visualisation, and reporting tools to create and maintain interactive dashboards, reports, and ad-hoc queries. You will also work with management to aid the ongoing data strategy and ensure data quality and integrity. You will be involved in the entire data lifecycle, from data collection and transformation to data presentation and integration.

To succeed in this role, it would be beneficial to have:

• A strong aptitude for data analysis, problem-solving, and critical thinking.
• Experience of working with Microsoft Cloud Data and Automation technologies, such as Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Warehouse, Azure Data Bricks, etc.
• Experience of working with data visualisation and reporting tools, such as Tableau, Power BI, Excel, etc.
• Experience working with Windows SQL Servers and writing SQL scripts, including procedures, in Oracle and T-SQL.
• Experience using SSIS, XML, and other forms of data transformations.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex information to a broad audience.
• A positive "can do" attitude and a high level of self-motivation and initiative.

  The working pattern for this role is 2 days per week in their Poole.

  Day to day you'll be transforming brands - building out full corporate websites and intuitive web applications alongside an experienced team of designers, PM's and Back End Devs. They are experimenting with Low Code / No-Code solutions and how they can augment these to improve their clients' convenience. It's a business where quality and experience matter over conversion rates.
  
  Here it's a flat structure, no bureaucracy or unnecessary hierarchy. The Senior team retain a hands-on element to their role and equally as a Senior you'll be trusted to have an organic conversation with clients about helping to realise their goals. They are reducing their reliance on contractors so as this team grows, more Senior positions and progression will be available
  
  What you'll need to succeed
  We're looking for an experienced Front End Developer with 5+ years working with Native/Vanilla JavaScript and with React.js (ideally with GraphQL / API's).
  
  Previous agency experience is required. You will have managed multiple projects concurrently and will be able to task-switch effectively. They move fast and break things, so you should have this Agile mindset.
  
  Knowledge of complex WordPress builds, PHP/MySQL, Adobe XD, Figma and Bootstrap/jQuery will serve you well.

You will work with a team of other talented developers to build and maintain over twenty different sites all focused on selling different B2B products. These products are packed and sent worldwide directly from their warehouse. They have also partnered with a globally recognised e-commerce brand and have started to ship their products.
You will be able to see the full life cycle of your work, from development through to manufacturing and then on to shipping. They are a business that encourages creativity and forward-thinking, they are not set in their ways technically and are always open to fresh solutions.

Your new role
There are two development teams within the business, you will join the web team to develop and maintain over twenty different e-commerce sites. The other team develop all the internal systems needed for the shipping arm of the company. The teams use different back-end languages for their systems, but they both work with Vue.js.
We are open to a mid-level or a senior developer who has a strong background in PHP frameworks. Exposure to some e-commerce would be beneficial as your work will mainly revolve around their sites. You will write clean, maintainable, and scalable code following industry best practices as well as integrate web applications with various APIs and third-party services.
Collaboration is key in this business as you will participate in code reviews, supporting other developers in ensuring all code is quality, as a team, you will work to troubleshoot, test and resolve any technical issues. The business adopts an Agile mindset, where things can change quickly, so you must be able to adapt to changing requirements.
