Hays Technology are recruiting a Senior BI Developer to join a growing public sector organisation based in the Leeds area. You will be reporting to the Analytics and Reporting Lead.

Your new role
In your new role, you will be responsible for building, supporting, and developing the organisation's data repository, whilst actively contributing to all stages of the business intelligence development and reporting lifecycle as required in line with architecture and design standards. You will be supporting the establishment and ongoing operation of a BI Centre of Excellence and an MS Power BI-focussed Community of Practice.

You will also be exploring innovative ways to leverage the data available to the organisation to deliver real business value, including using Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and the tools and capabilities within the MS Fabric ecosystem and beyond. You will be supporting the capture, interpretation, and sign-off of data and reporting requirements from internal and external stakeholders.

What you'll need to succeed

• Experience working within a data or reporting delivery team
• Extensive MS Power BI experience, including MS Power Query, DAX Coding, and de-bugging experience
• Experience of designing and developing reporting data models to support the delivery of quality MI
• Experience of capturing, interpreting, and developing details reporting requirements
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills

Your new role
● Responsible for the development and improvement of our Practice Management Systems
● Ensure that industry standards and best practices are applied across the development and database environments, leading to systems that are secure, robust and optimised
● Produce and maintain documentation contributing towards the wider development infrastructure
● Produce estimates (high-level and detailed) for development work
● Balance work on multiple projects at one time
● Maintain databases and objects such as tables, stored procedures, views, triggers, Indexes
● Handle common database procedures such as upgrade, backup, recovery, migration
● Profile server resource usage, and optimise as necessary
● Maintain interfaces with other systems both internal and external


What you'll need to succeed
You will need to be a sufficient team player who is further personable . In addition, they are looking for an individual that has the following technical expertise; C# , .NET , SQL SSRS, SSIS and API.
