What you’ll do at Elekta
As a Manufacturing Systems Test Engineer, your main responsibility will be to test and commission linear accelerators, in addition to:
Creating and maintaining machine data as per released procedures and work instructions.
Fault finding and fixing machine issues.
To ensure adequate control and disposition of non-conforming material and provide the necessary documentation
Maintaining a clean and safe working environment, taking responsibility for tools, equipment, shelter and any product being tested
Participating and contributing to the DQT process
Carrying out necessary duties for the benefit, maintenance and progression of the test department such as monthly interlock checks, housekeeping audits, Lean activities, assisting with equipment calibration, training of new engineers and representing the department in meetings
Assisting other functions within the business such as production, pre-test, spares, service or training as directed by the Manufacturing Manger — Systems Test. This could include the need to assist with testing products, fault finding, assisting other departments or personnel and possibly a need to work off site including outside of the UK.
The right stuff
As a Manufacturing Systems Test Engineer, you’d need to demonstrate a high level of attention to detail and problem-solving skills to be able to carry out the following tasks:
Confirmation that the product being tested meets the Production Test Schedule (PTS), fixing issues where the equipment does not meet the PTS requirements.
Entering of test results and sign off in the Manufacturing Execution System (MES), confirming the product meets all requirements prior to shipment.
Raise and manage NCR's and Concessions as required.
Contribute towards the maintenance and improvement of the PTS.
If trained, formally accept machines after completion of their testing.
If qualified (Radiation Protection Supervisor) — to certify as safe, assemblies and products that have been exposed to X-Rays.
What you bring
To be successful at this role, you will have:
OND/HNC/Degree in Electronics/Physics based subject or an equivalent.
Ability to understand and operate complex systems equipment.
Ability to fault find complex systems equipment at both component and machine level.
Experience in any of the following fields would be beneficial — Linear Accelerators, Control systems, High Voltage equipment, Mechanical equipment, Software applications for complex electro/mechanical equipment or Vacuum systems.

We're on the lookout for a passionate and talented Industrial Designer to join our team and contribute to the innovation and development of cutting-edge products in the helmet category. As an integral part of our design team, you will be responsible for translating conceptual ideas into visually stunning and functional designs. The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in industrial design, with a particular focus on 3D modeling and advanced surfacing techniques.
Responsibilities:
Conceptualization and Ideation: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to brainstorm and generate innovative design concepts for new helmet products. Transform conceptual ideas into tangible design proposals, considering functionality, aesthetics, and user experience.
3D Modeling and Rendering: Demonstrate expertise in 3D modeling using industry-standard software (e.g., SolidWorks, Rhino, Alias) to create detailed and precise digital representations of helmet designs. Utilize advanced surfacing techniques to ensure optimal form, fit, and function of helmet prototypes.
Prototyping and Testing: Work closely with prototyping and testing teams to bring 3D designs to life in physical prototypes. Iterate and refine designs based on feedback from testing, ensuring products meet safety and performance standards.
Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, marketers, and product managers, to integrate design concepts seamlessly into the product development process. Communicate design ideas effectively through sketches, 3D renderings, and presentations.
Market Research and Trend Analysis: Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and manufacturing processes related to helmet design. Integrate market insights into design concepts to create products that resonate with target audiences.

Responsabilités :

Transformer des idées conceptuelles en propositions de design tangibles, en tenant compte de la fonctionnalité, de l'esthétique et de l'expérience utilisateur.
Modélisation 3D: Démontrer une expertise en modélisation 3D à l'aide de logiciels standard de l'industrie (SolidWorks, Rhino, etc.) pour créer des modélisations détaillées et précises des designs de casques.
Utiliser des techniques de surfaçage avancées pour assurer la forme, l'ajustement et la fonction optimales des prototypes de casques.
Prototypage et Tests : Travailler en étroite collaboration avec les équipes de prototypage et de test pour donner vie aux designs 3D dans des prototypes physiques.
Itérer et affiner les designs en fonction des retours des tests, en veillant à ce que les produits respectent les normes de sécurité et de performance.
