The Accounts Executive supports the client in carrying out the responsibilities of the accountant. He/She is involved in the monthly, quarterly or yearly finalization of accounts for financial reporting purposes.

The Accounts Executive also assists with the preparation of GST returns, basic financial statements and simple consolidated financial statements. He/She may be called on to participate in ad-hoc finance-related projects and systems testing when necessary.

The Accounts Executive should be well verse with the use of computer and Microsoft Excel, preferably have basic understanding of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards ("FRS") and the Goods and Services Tax ("GST") Act.

He/She is driven and must be able to work independently and solve problems. He/She must be willing to communicate and educate the clients, demonstrating her finance skills and interpersonal skills.

My client is a global law firm with office around globe, they are hiring an Assistant Accountant for their Singapore office.



Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you will be assisting in cash receipting, payment processing, client accounting, billing, reporting and auditory.



Requirements:

• At least three year prior related accounting experience

Qualifications and Requirement

• At least 2 years of accounting related experience is required. Prior experience in a legal practice is a plus.
• Experience in using Tesseract (Accounting Software) and Infotech (Payroll System) would be an added advantage.

YOUR DAY TO DAY

• Finalizes food cover report and photocopies various documentation for food and beverage control and the Finance Department
• Controls dockets used in all outlets, maintaining correct sequence used at all times, accounting for dockets and making sure cancelled dockets are recorded accordingly
• Controls all food and beverage sales by:
• Correct recording of guest checks on a timely basis
• Performs spot checks on outlet checks used
• Having all voided checks, corrections and unsettled checks approved by the Restaurant Supervisor or Manager
• Monitors the buffet controls, especially over cash settled checks to prevent reuse ensuring all revenue is recorded
• Ensure banquet controls are being adhered to
• Reconciles total outlet sales to total charges
• Ensures all rebates and miscellaneous charges are supported by documentation detailing the charges. All rebate credits must be in accordance with Finance Policy. The rebate credits, miscellaneous charges and paid outs must be summarized and sent to the Finance Manager and General Manager for review daily
• Audits daily collection of the General Cashiers Summary against the bank in slip
• Reconciles revenues on a daily basis via back up page
• Audits and reconciles advance payments and ensures payments have been applied
• Keys revenue journal and distributes to Outlet Mangers and management
• Works with General Cashier to check all float totals regularly and keeps control on registers in outlets

Job Requirements

Knowledge of statistical or database programming languages SQL and Python；

Job Purpose:

The Accounting and Payroll Officer is responsible for delivering precise and timely financial information and reports to support informed decision-making. This role entails managing accounting and payroll services for CSLB clients, contributing to the efficient operations of the CSLB Asia team and its clientele.

Key Result Areas / Accountabilities:

Financial and Payroll Role:

1. In charge of maintaining full sets of books for a portfolio of clients including preparing payments, bank reconciliations, fixed assets, raising journals and preparing financial reports in the Xero accounting system

2. Provide monthly or quarterly management accounts for CSLB clients.

3. Perform general bookkeeping using cloud-based accountancy platforms including Xero and Quickbooks.

4. . Work with clients to provide monthly payroll instructions and manage and execute the end-to-end payroll process, including data input and validation. Manages full cycle of monthly payroll which includes mid-month payroll, end month payroll and CPF submission.

5. Manages payroll-related enquires and resolves any discrepancies.

6. Submission of tax clearance, yearly income tax, government paid leave, NS claims and other government claims.

7. Complete tax filing, including GST returns, for CSLB clients.

8. Prepare financial statements following ACRA guidelines for annual return filing for new and existing clients.

9. Address financial inquiries by gathering and analysing financial data as and when requested by CSLB clients.

10. Provide financial guidance by studying operational practices and developing recommendations.
