A DAY IN A LIFE
- As a start up, you can expect your days to be pretty varied. Multitasking is normal, and sometimes, your skills or natural talents will be leveraged to support other business priorities. That said, the bulk of your working hours should involve you having to:
- Research and analysis on industry benchmarks to identify market leaders, best practises and identify how this could be applied to improve Teleport’s Business lines;
- Research and analysis on macro and microeconomics factors that is impacting the industry and understanding how this can significantly impact Teleport’s goals and objectives;
- Having a deep understanding of the key levers of the business lines and applying market and industry factors that will “move the needle” and impact Teleports objectives and financials;
- Work closely with business and enabler leaders, to understand how operations impacts the business and ensure business and operations team are aligned with our long term goal and objective;
- Collaborating with cross-functional departments independently (all departments including operations) to identify gaps in the business and providing solutions “looking at the bigger picture” (taking into consideration long-term goals and objectives);
- Monitoring profitability of all entities under Teleport Group to ensure revenue and profits are maximised with cost contained;
- Making key decisions around how capital or working capital (internally generated through EBITDA or external funding) are redeployed into the business. Balancing between growth, scale and profitability;
- Building, monitoring and constantly reviewing financial models for Teleport Group;
- Building dashboards for FP&A reportings - single source of truth;
- Preparation of monthly reports - key messaging, financial and operational performances (not financial consolidation reports/reporting packages) for external (bankers, investors, etc) and internal stakeholders (Management, Shareholders, Capital A, Airlines);
- Preparation and review of forecasts and budgets
- Manage and align objectives and work closely along the other 2 team members (finance business partners)
- Implement and coordinate ad-hoc finance business initiatives
SKILLS
- These are minimum-requirement skills and a ‘must-have’ for the role:
- Analytical and problem solving skills
- Independently managing multiple stakeholders effectively
- Ability to work under pressure and tight timelines
- Good time management
- Strong team player
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- At least 6 years experience in the related field (FP&A)
- Quick and resourceful in obtaining market and industry information and applying them to the analyse business impact
- Power BI and or Tableu or anything equivalent
- Worked closely with cross-functional business and enablers teams (business partners)
