RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Support the School Leaders and Finance Director in implementing workplans aligned with school strategic objectives.
• Assist the School Leaders and Finance Director in developing and maintaining positive relationships with the stakeholders, including parents, vendors, lessees, and the public, while fostering a positive work environment within the school.

1. ACCOUNTING (SECONDARY)

a) Assist the Finance Director to manage monthly financial accounting aspects and reporting functions for Secondary School.

b) Manage annual budget, budget amendment exercises and budget requirements and work with the Finance Director (FD) to ensure budget sustainability and alignment to school’s objectives.

c) Work with Finance Director to plan and approve the budget and forecasts

d) Assist the Finance Director to prepare presentation of budget, forecasts and strategic plans to the Board of Management, Finance and Investment Sub-Committee.

e) Manage the collection of enrichment programme, CCA, ROCs, semestral fees etc fees from students (out of pocket expenses).

f) Manage the accounting of the Endowment Fund Accounts and Building Fund Accounts.

g) Work with the FD to ensure regular filing and submission of information to MOE and respective government agency.

h) Manage quarterly GST submission to IRAS.

i) Reviewer for the Financial Assistance Scheme for Students.

j) Manage the accounting aspects of the Fundraising events of the school. Manage the issuance of tax-exemption receipts.

k) Manage monthly account reconciliations/analysis

l) Assist the Finance Director in the quarterly account closing and reporting

m) Assist the Finance Director in drafting or updating the accounting processes (SOP) and accounting policies.

n) Any ad hoc duties as and participate in school level activities when is required

2. AUDIT AND INTERNAL CONTROLS

a) Manage the MOE appointed audit or Auditor General Office (AGO) for internal audit. Work with FD to ensure no lapses in the controls and processes.

b) Manage the statutory financial audit and work with the FD to enable the submission of audited financial statements to the relevant authorities for the full school.

c) Ensure strong operational internal controls are in place in the school’s financial systems

3. PROCUREMENT (FULL SCHOOL)

Requestor for the procurement of the following contracts:

a) Statutory external auditors

b) Stationery and refreshment for finance use

4. BOARD SECRETARIAT DUTIES (FULL SCHOOL)

a) Serve as the Minute taker for both MGS Finance and Investment Sub- Committee meetings, including plan and arrange meeting dates, preparing meeting agenda, taking minutes, and supporting FD and school leaders in conducting meetings.

b) Work with the FD to provide assistance for logistic support for Finance and Investment Sub-Committee meetings. Such as courier of documents and administration and logistics preparation for meeting.

5. STAFF MANAGEMENT AND DEVELOPMENT

a) Work with Finance Director to provide guidance and support to staff under your charge using the MGS Staff Appraisal Framework

b) Supervise, develop, review and evaluate the annual performance and staff development of your staff

What you’ll be doing …

• Develop, drive, and optimise sales strategies using the Scaling Up Framework that aligns with the company’s growth goals by analysing market trends, customer insights, and competition.
• Lead the Resident Success Team to close sales and deliver results
• Optimise sales processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness
• Developing an efficient, effective, and accurate monthly BD strategy and pipeline
• Train the community team to conduct structured weekly resident check-ins and manage policies and processes related to residents’ management, including:
• Handling residents' requests
• Addressing residents’ feedback promptly
• Improving residents engagement
• Nurture a collaborative resident community that cross-refers regularly to each other through community engagement initiatives
• Performance management of the Resident Success Team team, continuously mentoring, coaching and training team members to efficiently, effectively, and accurately execute their roles

What you’ll bring to the table:

• 5+ years of proven experience in outbound and inbound sales or account management roles, with a track record of exceeding sales targets
• Persuasive and strong stakeholder and team management
• Well-rounded profile: the ability to combine business, strategy, and finance concepts to lead complex and multidimensional deals.
• Strategic problem solver with strong business acumen and an ability to effectively lead priorities in a growing, fast-paced organisation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and maintain relationships with key stakeholders

The Sales Manager will drive strategies and ensure there are achievements in sales and lead generation with pipeline growth. It has the responsibility towards revenue and targets, with the primary focus on prospecting new opportunities in both the Industrial and Automotive industries, with a specific focus on the bearings business and targeted complementary products.

Duties and Responsibilities

Sales and Business Development:

• P&L responsibility; can manage and influence the company’s bottom line and ensure positive ROI
• Lead and manage the sales team to grow sales within the sectors
• Set clear sales targets and objectives for the team, monitor progress, and implement strategies to ensure goals are met
• Identify new market opportunities and potential customers within the automotive and industrial sectors.
• Analyze market trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities to formulate effective sales strategies
• Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies and plans to drive revenue growth in the bearing distribution market
• Understand customer needs, provide appropriate product recommendations, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
• Identify areas for improvement, develop action plans, and implement strategies to overcome challenges and achieve sales targets
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and industry stakeholders.
• Monitor individual and team sales performance, providing regular reports and analyses to senior management

Requirements and Qualifications

• Diploma / Degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field
• More than 5 years of relevant managerial experience
• Team Management
• Bilingual in English and Mandarin
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
• Outstanding communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key customers and stakeholders; and
• Ability to make decisions with calculated risks and consideration of the company's best interests
