Dulwich College (Singapore) is recruiting an Art/Design & Technology Technician to support the Art & DT Departments in managing resources and preparing for lessons to facilitate excellence in teaching and learning at all times starting in August 2024. This is a term-time role.

• Prepare and set up materials and equipment for practical lessons;
• Liaise with the Head of Art & DT and teachers to understand requirements and plan ahead so that resources are prepared and ready;

• Developing and implementing operational policies, long and short-term planning initiatives in accordance with Club’s objectives
• Establish budgets, forecast, staffing and general operating procedures and monitor cost control procedures.
• Planning, assigning, and evaluating work of staff members, and recommend changes in practices and procedures to increase operating efficiency and expedite workflow.
• Maintain excellent relationship with members by proactively soliciting feedback and attending to members concerns expeditiously.
• To monitor and review the division’s performance throughout the year and to accomplish the relevant KPI’s and to identify and develop solutions to address performance inadequacies, where key financial performance indicators are not in line with the budget or target set.
• Participate in General/Committee meetings as appropriate.
• Any other tasks that may be assigned by the General Manager.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Preferably 8 years’ experience in similar capacity in Hospitality Industry.
• Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Well-groomed and able to work on weekends and public holidays as required.

Job Description:
• To oversee all the upcoming and existing project from tendering to handing over.
• To liaise with clients and consultants on projects and attend meetings;
• Identifying the need for carrying out a formal design control, verification and validation program for work established by tender or contract requirements
• Evaluate, review and check all the details design system and coordinate with project manager and consultants in order to ensure the completeness and functionality of all the services
• Evaluate and review the pre-contract cost estimates, cash flow projection, feasibility studies and cost analysis done by the QS team on all aspects.
• Manage the All the work done in accordance with approved design, material used and workmanship is in compliance with contract specifications.
• Lead & Manage Project Teams
• In delivering service standards expected by the clients & consultant
• In Utilizing material usage that are fit for project specifications
• In ensuring that project schedules are met on time
• In rectifying & resolving project site issues
• In reviewing, monitoring and continuously improving project management system, workmanship, and quality of work at site.
• To actively participate in ad-hoc projects and other duties when required
• Attend company's weekly and fortnightly meetings
• Company reserves all rights to amend above scope of works when required
