• Supervise the playing of educational games.
• Work with students who have varying degrees of learning support needs.
• Ensure that students adhere to the school’s behaviour policy.
• Prepare work and activities in accordance with the objectives set by the teacher.
• Assist the teacher in helping with the student’s physical needs, whilst also encouraging independence.
• Responsible for the upkeep of teaching resources, prepare art and craft materials, arrangement, appearance, decorations, and learning environment of the classroom
• Use positive discipline techniques at all times.
• Maintain and build relationships with children and parents.
• Being part of the team, you will participate in parents and community engagement activities.
• Give feedback to teachers on students’ progress.
• Any other related duties as requested by the Head of School.

Successful candidates will join the Business, Communication and Design (BCD) Cluster (one of five academic clusters in SIT) as members of a team of accomplished experts who are passionate about higher education and deeply involved in industry transformation through applied research programmes.

Faculty in the BCD Cluster undertake funded industry-relevant research, teach courses in Accounting, Air Transport Management, Digital Communications & Integrated Media, and Hospitality Business, as well as supervise industry masters and doctorate students in relevant topics. They are also provided paid leave to undertake consultancy work with industry and/or spend time attached with industry.

We will prioritise collegial and team-spirited candidates with either (a) an earned Ph.D. or equivalent from a reputable university with specialisation in any of the above-mentioned areas and some relevant work experience, or (b) extensive industry experience with demonstrated strong technical expertise in the above-mentioned areas.

Responsibilities

1. Assists lead art instructors during classes and workshops.
2. Help with classroom setup and cleanup.
3. Demonstrate proficiency in various art techniques, mediums, and styles, and effectively teach students how to use them to express their ideas and emotions.
4. Provide guidance and support to students in developing their artistic skills, including drawing, painting, sculpting, and other art forms.
5. Create a positive and inspiring classroom environment that encourages experimentation, self-expression, and collaboration among students.
6. Evaluate and provide constructive feedback on students' artwork, helping them identify areas of improvement and celebrating their achievements.
7. Ensure a safe and orderly art classroom environment, following appropriate safety guidelines and procedures for handling art materials and equipment.
