Main Purpose of the Job:
Support the Finance Manager in managing the Company’s accounting functions including day-to-day finance operations to keep proper accounting records and meet reporting requirements on time
Job Description (Key Responsibilities):
- Assist in managing the daily accounting operations for the Singapore business, including handling the full set of accounts from day-to-day transactions through to month-end closing activities and reporting
- Responsible for GL activities, prepare/review journal entries
- Assist in preparation of financial reports and statements for submission to regional and corporate
- Produce balance sheet reconciliations for review with Finance Manager/Finance Director
- Prepare full set of accounts for overseas branch office
- Key contact for intercompany transactions and responsible for intercompany matching and reconciliation
- Maintain fixed assets register, prepayments, accruals etc
- Prepare/review various government and business surveys
- Prepare weekly/monthly cash flow forecasts and bank reconciliations
- Involvement in cash management and treasury activities
- Taxation management activities including assisting the preparation of quarterly GST returns, WHT and Corporate Income Tax
- Assist in the coordination and preparation of financial audits, providing necessary documentation and support.
- Help maintain financial records, ensuring they are accurate and up-to-date.
- Finance process improvement, continuously look to improve processes and find efficiencies
- Involvement in future system upgrades, including preparation of data for migration and implementation of new procedures
- Assist the Finance Manager / Financial Director in ad-hoc financial matters.

Job Requirements & Person Specification (Qualifications, Experience, Skills & Behaviours)
You are:
- Able to demonstrate strong Finance/Accounting knowledge and procedures
- Meticulous in attention to details, and able to handle data accurately and efficiently
- Able to work well under pressure, meeting deadlines while maintaining high quality work
- A team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Energetic and self-motivated with a desire to continuously improve and seek out efficiencies
- Someone with a good understanding of wider business issues and ability to develop new ideas to add value
- Willing to take on any task and some flexibility in work hours, as necessary, to meet business objectives
- Qualifications & Requirements:
- 5+ years of relevant experience working in finance or audit
- Degree/Diploma in Accountancy / Finance plus professional accounting qualification (ACCA/ISCA/CIMA or similar – will consider part-qualified)
- Good knowledge of IFRS, reporting and tax requirements; US GAAP knowledge is a plus
- Full set accounting experience is required
- Proficient in Excel and experience using ERP systems is essential
- Good spoken and written English is required, Mandarin reading proficiency an advantage
- MS D365 ERP experience is an advantage
