About the Role

The Compliance Analyst reports to Regional Head of Compliance - Asia and supports the Compliance Team in providing advice, assistance and guidance for routine KYC activities.

Primary responsibilities include:

• Identifying, assessing and addressing, where possible, KYC issues requiring escalation

• Reviewing KYC documentation and following-up KYC requests (where applicable) • Ensure that the KYC is obtained in the most efficient manner

• Demonstrate compliance with KYC policies and correct use of KYC methods of approval

• Help ensure the overall KYC status is within the parameters for KYC non-compliant percentages

• Reviewing and monitoring the quality of KYC materials collected in accordance with the risk based review procedures and identifying and filling any deficiencies

• Reporting to the Regional Head of Compliance (as appropriate) on a regular basis summarising any queries or any trends identified

• Dealing with any other compliance related queries as assigned

EXPERIENCE What You Bring In addition to indisputably high ethical standards and autonomy, the ideal candidate possesses the following:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Flexibility and willingness to learn

• Knowledge of Hong Kong or Cayman Islands anti-money laundering regulations and legislation preferred but not required

• Fluency in both written and spoken English and Chinese

• Candidates with KYC/AML experience with financial institutions are preferred

Location: Tuas (Transport provided from designated MRT stations: Jurong East, Outram, CCK, Woodlands)

Shift: 5-day workweek with morning-afternoon rotation

Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine and non-standard tests using HPLC, GC, and Empower system.
• Identify deviations and quality issues, ensuring compliance with standards.
• Manage laboratory operations, including equipment maintenance and record-keeping.
• Propose and implement solutions to improve QC procedures and workflows.

Requirements:

• Diploma in a science-related field.
• Minimum 1 year of QC lab experience, with proficiency in HPLC and Empower software.

Compliance Analyst will have overall responsibility in supporting various regulatory compliance initiatives (with particular focuses on P2P, payment system provider (PJP) and multifinance businesses) and ensuring that all compliance requirements are met – this includes:

• Supporting  regulatory licenses matters, set up compliance framework & guidelines, including anti-bribery & corruption, external vendor compliance management, data privacy;
