Clinical responsibilities: Manage and co-ordinate the care for patients referred for endoscopy. Be responsible and accountable for all elements of professional nursing practice. Safely prepare patients for any investigation and facilitate the patients journey until discharge. To perform diagnostic endoscopic procedures, and once trained and deemed competent, will also be expected to perform PEG / PEG-J, NG/J, and polypectomies. Ensure minimum number for endoscopic procedures for JAG accreditation are performed, and ensuring JAG / GRS key performance indicators are conducted in line with recommended standards. To keep training profile which is up to date on the JETS website.Ensure patient safely prepared for procedure and consent is achieved as per best practice, WHO checklist and in line with clinical governance. Possess the necessary understanding of endoscopic procedures and associated risks to enable valid patient consent to be gained.Administer procedural medication as required and/or indicated within PGD, or scope of independent prescribing. To perform biopsies and polypectomy procedures as deemed competent. To work within BSG and JAG guidelines. To undertake patient review with Clinical Lead / gastroenterologist as appropriate. Perform and assist with agreed procedures appropriate to the role and function of the Clinical Endoscopist To be responsible for setting, implementing, and monitoring acceptable standards of care for patients within Endoscopy. Co-ordinate and run nurse led clinics once deemed competent, in addition to managing and reviewing patients on an urgent basis in order to provide an expert and effective patient focused service. Communicate complex information following assessments and analyse information which is sensitive to patients/carers and health professionals. Support patients and their carers when giving bad news and dealing with difficult situations. Communicate information effectively and answer queries from patients, their relatives/carers and the multidisciplinary team members. Provide telephone support and advice which is safe and effective. Provide psychological and emotional support for patients through facilitation of relevant groups, counselling and information sharing. Maintain accurate patient records of all care delivered, procedures performed, and decisions/follow up post procedure. Work collaboratively with nursing colleagues to share good practice and provide equity of patient care. Be visible within clinical areas and act as a resource. Care and control of all medications used and ensuring systems in place for safe administration, ordering and maintenance of stock. Be accountable for principles of infection control and the prevention of cross infection in relation to patient care and the clinical environment. Participate in case conferences in relation to future management or discharge arrangements. Be accountable for safe discharge of patients post diagnostic procedure/clinic and ensure relevant information is given to patient/carer/referrer and GP. Be responsible in giving a full explanation of findings, outcomes post procedure and to organise further management in relation to these findings. . Working with Consultant Service Lead and other health professionals in order to achieve optimum waiting lists for endoscopic procedures, reduce length of hospital stay, promote timely discharge and prevent / minimize patients readmission.

Essential Criteria:

About You
In your role as a Clinical Lead at HC One, Kindness will be at the core of everything you do. It touches upon every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes. As a Clinical Lead that will mean making sure the level of clinical care we offer goes beyond just professional standards and statutory, regulatory and legal requirements. It will mean providing specialist nursing support and advice, taking responsibility for resident care in the Home Manager’s absence and supervising/coaching colleagues to provide a service that’s unparalleled in its empathy for resident issues.
You will be a Registered Nurse with a valid Pin number and will understand your commitment to your profession through the standards of practice set by the NMC.
You will have a passion to mentor and share your knowledge with your Colleagues, along with providing support as a practice supervisor and assessor to students. You will understand the importance of effective communication, both verbally and written, and role model professional behaviours.
You will advocate and deliver a person-centred approach to care for the people living in our care home and their families.
Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility and therefore it is important that you are able to recognise the signs which may indicate possible abuse, harm or neglect in its different forms and know what to do if there are any concerns. All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training appropriate to their role and to undertake additional training in associated areas. You also have the ability to seek appropriate advice and report concerns, including escalation if action is not taken.

A specialist Lancashire mental health organisation is now looking for a Clinical Psychologist to join them at their independent CAMHS unit in Accrington, supporting young people aged 13-19 years with complex social, emotional and mental health needs and who may have a history of trauma.

Based primarily around the Dialectical Behaviour Therapy model of care, the MDT implements tailored programmes of therapeutic rehabilitation and support across two 10-bed units purpose-built to offer both the optimum level of safety and a private, comfortable living environment conducive to recovery.

Through psychiatric assessment and stabilisation, rehabilitation, and step-down services, vulnerable young people are supported through times of crisis and to make a smooth transition to more community-based care. Plans are in the works to expand for solo placements and semi-independent flats as well.

As a Clinical Psychologist, you will deliver effective, person-centred talking therapies under the supervision of a Senior Clinical Psychologist and support holistic rehabilitation as part of a strong MDT; helping young people to understand and manage their emotions, better cope with unexpected challenges, and make real and lasting improvements in their mental health.

This is a permanent, ideally full-time (37.5h) role for a CAMHS Clinical Psychologist, covering office hours, Mon-Fri. Some flexibility is available for part-time hours, requiring a minimum of 3 days per week.

Person specification:

• (Essential) Registration with the HCPC as a Clinical Psychologist.
• (Essential) Membership of the British Psychological Society (BPS).
• (Essential) Previous professional experience within a CAMHS setting.
• (Desirable) Previous experience delivering Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT).
