The Engineer – Mechanical designs functional, reliable and cost effective heavy duty vehicle components. Perform engineering analysis and design or re-design, and development of components into existing and new vehicles.
YOUR IMPACT:
Under close supervision, perform basic engineering calculations, investigations, and tasks as assigned according to Oshkosh as well as general industry engineering standards and processes.
Support senior engineers in the preparation of basic plans, designs, computation methods, and/or reporting.
Under close supervision, work on projects of limited complexity in a support role.
Collaborate as needed with other engineering or business support disciplines internally as well as suppliers externally.
Maintain effective communication with suppliers, internal and external customers, and outside resources concerning technical issues.
Enforce the proper use of engineering criteria and drawing standards. Ensure that technical issues are conducted within the framework of company policies and procedures.
Evaluate designs for performance, safety, and reliability.
Perform and Directs preparation of layouts, drawings, specifications, and bills of material.
Perform engineering analysis to support the selection of parts, components, and materials that meet requirements.
Provide non-complex technical assistance for production support.
Analyze and resolve issues reported to Engineering via verbal or written communication.
Prepare technical proposals, quotations, reports, and presentations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

The Principal Engineer – Controls works within engineering groups to lead the exploration of applicable technologies and systems and methods for vehicle control strategies. The Chief Product Safety Engineer will serve as a leader and subject matter expert with regards to product safety and reliability support on JLG Agriculture and Specialty equipment. This includes initiating and coordinating activities concerning new product development, previously manufactured/field products, product related legal proceedings, Government/Trade Association matters, and customer support activities. This is a technical leadership role seen as a Product Safety expert throughout the business and will develop solid relationships with various departments, including Product Management, Engineering, Sales, Service, Marketing, Purchasing, Quality, and Operations.

Initiate and Lead activities as the Product Safety expert for the Agriculture & Specialty Product Lines.
Responsible for initiating, coordinating, and taking ownership in these listed activities and processes.
Develop and support product safety strategies in coordination with the department and other business leaders.
Initiate and lead problem-solving, cross-functional, activities with Engineering and other company departments on all matters of product safety and reliability.

Attend Customer events and Trade Shows to support the product team and gather relevant industry insights.
Coordinate and provide level II support for JLG customers and end users through telephone and email regarding machine application, safe use, repairs, technical specifications, etc.
Lead as liaison and periodic meeting coordinator from Product Safety to various other departments, including Engineering, Service, Technical Publications, Training, and Marketing.
Interact with JLG component suppliers regarding component specifications, performance, and reliability.
Responsible to develop and review information such as Field Service Bulletins, Service Information, etc.
Attend, monitor, and propose actions from Global Quality, Test and Customer Support meetings and other meetings that concern new and existing products.
Initiate and organize the review of new products regarding standards compliance.
Represent company in Government/Trade Association matters such as OSHA, AEM, ANSI, ASABE, NHTSA, etc.
Coordinate and assist in the preparation of company defense information for product litigations, including interaction with other company departments and outside entities assisting in the company defense.
Lead and assist on other specific programs required in the course of departmental operation, as assigned by the department head.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Agriculture Technology, or related field.
Ten (10) or more years of relevant experience.
Ability to multitask with effective organization and communication skills.
STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS
Agricultural industry background and experience operating agricultural equipment.
Demonstrated expertise in aerial lift and material handling equipment (MEWPs, Telehandlers) or recovery vehicles (Carriers, Wreckers, Rotators).
Education or experience focused on electro-mechanical, mechatronics, electrical or mechanical engineering.
Seven (7) or more years of experience in Product Safety, Reliability, Quality, Compliance, or Improvement Engineering.
Possess a strong mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical knowledge of components and systems found in construction, agricultural, or heavy-duty vehicles and equipment.

Job Description:
Ready to be part of a cutting edge growing Cyber Security project making a huge impact on the DOD/Intel community? This exciting role includes performing traditional System Engineering and Vulnerability research with a focus on OCO (Offensive Cyber Operations) and DCO (Defensive Cyber Operations) activities. Role

Qualifications

As part of the Parsons team, you will work with radar subject matter experts and government stakeholders to understand the needs of future warfighters and guide development of current and experimental systems to better support these requirements. This will involve building complex simulations, leading live test events, and conducting original research into advanced signal processing techniques as well as new tactical uses for existing Army assets. Your work will directly influence the development of cutting-edge military technology and will help to improve the effectiveness of the United States Army warfighter.
What You'll Be Doing:
Build / edit MATLAB and C++ simulations to test new concepts and processing techniques (from small proof of concept scripts to large multi-file object-oriented programs)
Use simulations and small-scale tests to model and assess performance of existing systems, to inform viability of proposed or experimental capabilities, and to design large-scale test event configurations
Work with radar subject matter experts and Army representatives to identify promising paths for future investigation / development
Derive novel solutions to complex technical problems related to signal processing, hardware design or tactical battlefield arrangements
Review deliverables from external contractors to evaluate project progress and make recommendations for future direction
Present results and analysis to external contractors and government stakeholders
Qualifications:
B.S. in electrical engineering, computer engineering, physics or a related field
2+ years experience with radar signal/data processing
2+ years of experience with MATLAB
experience with radar simulation and test design
experience with phased array radar systems
Understanding of object-oriented programming
Understanding of basic radar hardware (antennas, ADC/DAC, mixers, amplifiers etc.)

Your key responsibilities will be:
Coordinating activities related to the delivery of bench-top laboratory systems for QC Labs in Madrid and Harwell.
Developing and authoring System requirements, System Configuration Specification, System Administration SOP, executing test scripts following cGxP.
Providing administrative support to operate systems and instruments including role management, access management, and configuration maintenance.
Representing Digital Quality in system validation activities in conjunction with IT, Validation, and QA.
Your responsibilities will also include:
Providing second-tier support to troubleshoot operation and interface of enterprise laboratory systems.
Participating in the periodic reviews of the systems used in the QC Laboratories and supporting periodic maintenance activities.
Assisting in the evaluation of system enhancements and capabilities, implementing upgrades as required.
