What you will do

The intern will assist in the planning, coordination and execution of internal and external facing HCA events, to enhance HCA’s brand experience and equity among key stakeholder groups and the general public. He/she will work closely with the event management team at HCA and will partake in projects and tasks that will effectively upgrade the image and branding of HCA through beneficiary-facing and public events, amongst other duties.

Key duties, depending on skillset availability, shall include:

• Events and logistics management (core duty);
• Curation of user experience at events to enhance brand loyalty;
• Visual design for event collaterals and other necessities;
• Media production – photography and video production;
• All other tasks as assigned.

• Lead to update/localise existing group Data Protection policies, standards and procedures to conform to internal best practice and local Data Privacy laws / regulations. Develop missing ones
• Monitoring compliance with the Global Privacy Program across APAC regions including ensuring adherence to data protection-related policies
• Making filings with, responding to, and act as the contact point for the supervisory authority and maintaining relationships with, data protection regulators across APAC
• Acting as a point of contact for data subjects with regards to their requests
• Generating and regularly update Compliance Management KPIs

The Successful Applicant

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Business Law, Information Technology Law, or an equivalent field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience with substantial knowledge and expertise in Data Protection/Privacy, with a specific emphasis on the APAC region
• Extensive experience in the realm of data privacy law and compliance, preferably within a multinational organisation
• Solid understanding of Personal Data Protection and Privacy Laws, particularly the GDPR, PDPA, PIPA, APP, APPI, and familiarity with other significant privacy frameworks and legislations in the region
• Qualification on Data Privacy such as IAPP Information Privacy Professional/Asia (CIPP/A) and Europe (CIPP/E), IAPP Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM) or Certified Information Privacy Technologist (CIPP/IT), Fellow of Information Privacy (FIP) or equivalent data privacy qualification
