Engineering Solution Architect/Manager (Aviation) is expected to be aviation technology and solution advisors with sound knowledge in a particular aviation domain.
He/She will act in many ways as solution consultants & advisor that can speak on the aviation landscape, architectural models and solutions credibly, and possess the ability to discuss and present to senior members of a client team & internal stakeholders.
He/She will provide subject matter expertise through delivery of workshops / presentation / proposals, as a member of pre-sales and consulting engagements, and as advisor on solution design and deployment projects. He/She should be versant in solution design methodologies (e.g. Best Practices type of approaches), respective sectors compliance like IM8, AIAS and have the ability to generate high quality artifacts such as requirements artifacts, high level and detailed designs and deployment plans.
He/She should also able to take up the role as a Solution Architect and lead & handover during the aviation security solution & service to the aviation project implementation stage.
Job Responsibilities:
- Participate in sales calls and prospect visits, providing product demonstrations in person and/or via WebEx etc, and working with prospects at both a technical and business level to show how NCS Engineering can address their business needs.
- Able to conduct the aviation solution POC for the clients
- Design end-to-end IT solutions that encompass applications, infrastructure, data, and security while considering regulatory compliance and industry standards.
- Possess demonstrable skills in customer-centric selling and a proven track record using it to help drive sales revenue
- Participate as a technical resource at trade shows and conferences
- Work independently and as a vital member of a sales team
- Work with the sales team to strategize on sales approaches to develop business
- Ensure successful on-site and remote product evaluations (POCs) and support the post-sale team when necessary
- Able to learn the new & emerging technologies in short turn around, able to present & solution new & emerging technologies depending client needs
- Stay current with aviation industry trends, regulations, and technologies, ensuring that the IT solutions address specific aviation challenges and opportunities.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5 - 8 years of experience working in a pre-sales capacity related to Engineering/IT, preferably in the Aviation industry
- Has at least 3 years’ experience in designing, implementation of engineering/IT solutions
- Familiar with Aviation regularity compliance is a plus
- Strong technical skills with the ability to prioritize and execute in a methodical and disciplined manner. Set and manage expectations with senior stakeholders and team members
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to present to a variety of external audiences, including being able to interact with senior executives
- History of creating rapport with customers, from line technicians to line and mid-level managers
- Sectorial knowledge like Singapore Government, Transport and Financial is a plus
