Purpose and Job Summary

The Analyst, Underwriting – SBL is responsible for processing and analytical duties in support of underwriting multifamily and commercial mortgage financing programs. The Analyst must demonstrate attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and analytical ability. The Analyst must take the initiative to drive the document request, collection, and underwriting process as well as independently analyze credit and financial information to determine the degree of risk associated with the loan. While working in an independent and reliable manner, teamwork and effective communication will also be necessary for success.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Assists the Underwriter during the loan underwriting process by requesting, collecting, managing required documentation:

  • Prepare, distribute, and maintain Due Diligence Checklists and Application Workbooks, updating regularly to meet target underwriting dates.

  • Collect, review, and advise the underwriting team regarding receipt and status of all underwriting documentation. 

  • Establish and maintain loan files.  Retain and organize loan documentation in appropriate electronic data storage folders. Order and obtain professional reports and verifications from external parties.

• Inputs and analyzes data:

  • Verify and update property operating information in the underwriting analysis workbook.

  • Upon receipt of borrower/sponsor financial statements, SREO, Underwriting Certificates, credit reports, and investor database credit checks:

  • Review and notify Underwriter of any material issues;

  • Transfer data from reports to underwriting analysis workbook and narrative.

  • Upon receipt of professional reports (e.g. appraisal, engineering, environmental assessment, seismic analysis, zoning, and market reports), transfer data into underwriting analysis workbook and narrative.

Purpose and Job Summary

The primary focus of the position is to provide outstanding service to internal and external clients and to assist in the preparation and submission of post-closing and daily requests for our FHA loan portfolio. As an Analyst on the Asset Management Team, you will support the asset management of one of the nation’s largest and most diverse portfolios of healthcare and affordable housing properties. You will be assigned to a group of highly skilled and experienced Asset Managers who oversee the performance of Seniors and multifamily affordable housing properties. Partnering with Asset Managers and your Team Leader, you will learn about the different aspects of a property’s life cycle, from its initial operations to stabilized operations through the review of property financial statements. And exposure to many types of post-closing transactions. As your knowledge and skills grow, you will gradually take on responsibilities with greater complexity. This is typically the first step in the Asset Manager career path.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Attend calls with Asset Manager, HUD, borrower, and outside counsel on requests that require Lender consent. The Analyst will assist managing Borrower expectations on timing based on compiling initial package, HUD submission, and review time. 

• Respond to all internal and external inquiries in a timely, accurate and professional manner.

• Perform timely processing of special escrow releases, including reviewing documents to determine benchmark requirements, reviewing and analyzing collected documentation, obtaining approval of benchmark documentation from other departments as required, updating proprietary applications, and preparing wire information.

• Work with Asset Managers to assess operational or other property issues with review and QC of property financial statements.

• Post HUD approval, work with outside counsel and Borrower to record updated loan documents, as required. Associate will also need to compile, organize, and save final transaction loan documents in Lender system and submit a copy to HUD.

• Prepare reports and analyses of real estate performance for senior staff. Assist management with special projects or other duties as assigned related to department goals or as may be needed by the team.

• Cross-train in all areas of department to gain full understanding of all aspects of departmental responsibilities.

IMAC Analyst (12 month contract)

The opportunity

The IMAC Analyst will support OTPP technology and processes by performing IT support function with workstation install, move, add, change (IMAC) functionality. Duties will be split between end user support to hardware build and on-boarding.

You will interact directly with users, internal and external support partners, and technicians, within all areas of the business to ensure that requests are handled in a timely and professional manner, with the highest quality of service.

You must be ready to work in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to multi-task and adhere to strict deadlines for process deliverables. Attention to detail, punctuality, and effective communication skills are essential to this position.

What you'll do

• Support OTPP technology and processes by performing install, move, add, change related duties including:

• Assisting with end user technology, mobile devices, software troubleshooting, and logging issues with detail to provide resolution to user concerns

• Workstation lifecycle activities (Imaging PCs, asset tagging, inventory management, etc)

• New-hire technology and onboarding setups

• Hardware, mobile, and software support

• Responsible for coordinating, planning, scheduling and prioritizing IMAC activities, and understanding their client requirements so that the IMAC activities flow properly

• Develop & maintain IMAC process documentation

• Monitor queue related for IMAC activities

• Other Duties as assigned

What you'll need

• Relevant undergraduate or graduate university degree in Math/Statistics/Engineering/        Computer Science program

• Experience working in an ITIL Incident Management environment an asset

• Service Now experience an asset

• Proficient with Office 365 and Microsoft product ecosystem

• Self Starter, detail-oriented, organized, and thorough

• Strong communication skills both verbal and written

The Opportunity

Global Trade Management-Derivatives team is looking for great talents to join their team. The successful candidate requires an in-depth background in Finance Operations processes and a high level of knowledge of publicly traded products such as Derivatives. This role supports the direct operation of the unit. It also participates in the production support and change management of various straight through processing and order management systems. From time to time this role could assume review responsibilities of other staff members’ work.

Who you’ll work with

This position reports to the Manager, Global Trade Management - Derivatives. This individual will collaborate with members of Investments and Technology as well as external stakeholders in the delivery of business as usual and projects, to meet the Plan's changing requirements.

What you’ll do

Execute daily work within Finance Operations unit:

• Complete individual/team’s critical priorities for the day including trade capture, confirmation, and settlement of derivatives products.

• Participate in the production support of various processes and systems

• Identify, analyze, respond to and resolve issues and problems

• Demonstrate "Expert User" status in understanding department’s processes and systems and share knowledge with other team members

• Provide assistance to the team on complex issues and training

• Back up team members during absences

Verify information and uphold internal controls:

• Ensure internal control standards are being met

• Ensure completeness and accuracy of information

• Check and reconcile information to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies

• Occasionally review files and information prepared by others

• Ensure up to date documentation

Key contributor to projects for the unit under the guidance of the Manager:

• Carry out key tasks of the projects

• Liaise with other teams (IT, Investments etc) as needed

• Direct activities and tasks related to system upgrades, new releases, and bug fixes

Contribute to identification and carrying out improvements for the unit, including assisting  Manager to research, identify and document new markets, products, processes, or systems:

• Assist in development/implementation of new processes/systems

• Collaborate on recommendations for process changes and improvements

• Direct initiatives to create efficiencies and effective day to day processes

• Own components of change management or process improvements

• Develop and implement tests plans

Service internal and external clients:

• Provide information and services to internal and external clients

• Respond to inquiries and requests from internal and external clients

• Participate in development of new requirements or processes requested by clients

Deal with internal and external suppliers:

• Collaborates with Technology, Investments, service providers, consultants and/or vendors in the delivery of solutions

• Manage relationships to ensure high quality service by suppliers.

• Request/provide information as needed to established suppliers

• Represent OTPP in a professional manner

What you’ll need

• Relevant university degree (such as Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science) or equivalent relevant experience with Investment Finance processes

• Requires an individual with in-depth experience in Finance Operations related functions (1 year or more)

• Strong knowledge of Derivatives products including knowledge of trade life cycle activities is an asset

• Knowledge of global confirmation matching platforms is an asset

• Proficient knowledge and experience working with Simcorp Dimension is an asset

• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to think through problems, assess a variety of

• factors and recommend a solution

• Excellent quantitative and computer skills (Excel, VBA, Python, PLSQL, Power BI etc), including an understanding of database concepts

• Good background skills and knowledge of accounting and reconciliation processes

• Must be able to work to deadlines, adapt to a rapidly changing environment and sustain high productivity levels

• Must be extremely detail oriented, organized and thorough

The Group:
Sustainalytics’ Fixed Income (SFI) Team is a rapid growth business responsible for bringing sustainable finance products to multi-national corporations, governments and financial institutions. We are best known for our second-party opinions (SPOs) for green/social/sustainability and KPI-linked bonds and loans, raising capital for sustainable projects and outcomes. Responsibilities:

This role will represent our client markets in Latin America and requires strong proficiency in Spanish and English languages. As a project member, you contribute to Sustainalytics' continued positioning as a leading provider of SPOs for the sustainable bond/loan frameworks. The key attributes required for this role include outstanding writing, research and client communication skills especially with our Latin American client markets. You work directly with the Project Managers on approximately 4-6 ongoing projects at a time; primarily on the framework review and drafting of the SPOs along with other project members. At some point, you may be expected to manage projects, engage with issuers and underwriters regarding framework review from project kickoff to delivery and coach new team members on a continual basis. You work collaboratively with the SFI team across our global offices to ensure that projects are managed efficiently and team engagement is strong.

Qualifications:

• Fluency in Spanish and English with strong oral and written communication skills. This is a key qualifying criteria.
