What You Will Do:

As a DevOps Database Administrator, you will be responsible for deploying and managing PostgreSQL databases within containerized and cloud environments.  While the primary work is on PostgreSQL, work will also include managing MongoDB for document storage.  This application platform includes many technologies, from OpenShift to Splunk, and is used by a wide range of development, QA, and system integration teams.

Job Summary

To manage and support the city network and associated switches, routers, and firewalls. Ensures that the city networks, including their Transportation traffic network infrastructure, are secure and performing at an optimal level at all times. Essential Functions:

• Manage and monitor Palo Alto firewalls, Cisco, Siemens Ruggedcom and Encom network hardware for network performance and security including availability, utilization, throughput, latency etc. Proactively remediate performance issues, before the issues have a visible impact.
• Manage and monitor fiber optic and/or other transport infrastructure across the transportation and City IT network for data and telecom services. Qualifications

Experience and Education

• Five (5) years of related experience including at least four (4) managing complex secure network and fiber optics environments.
