JOB SUMMARY

The Political Science and International Relations program at Marymount University seeks applicants for adjunct faculty positions. Interviews will occur as open positions become available.

The Political Science and International Relations program values innovative approaches to pedagogy and interest in mentoring and supporting students of color, international students, transfer students, and first-generation students.  Adjunct faculty will enjoy a supportive and collegial environment.

Adjunct will be responsible for providing a quality learning experience for Marymount University students on a semester basis.

• Demand Forecasting: Anticipating future product demand to enhance inventory control and production scheduling.
• Personalised Recommendations: Providing tailored suggestions to customers to enhance satisfaction and interaction.
• Attribute Tagging: Automating product attribute labelling to enhance search and filtering functions.
• Size Recommendation: Suggesting optimal sizes for customers based on their measurements and preferences.

Commitment required:

Cross Border Data Science
To ensure that Visa’s payment technology is truly available to everyone, everywhere requires the success of our key bank or merchant partners and internal business units. The Cross Border (XB) team supports these partners by using our extraordinarily rich data set that spans more than 3 billion cards globally and captures more than 100 billion transactions in a single year. The focus of the XB Data Science team lies on building creative solutions that have an immediate impact on the business of our highly analytical partners. We work in complementary teams comprising members from data science teams and various groups at Visa across Asia Pacific.

What a Cross Border Data Science Intern does at Visa:

The intern will support the APAC XB Team by bringing analytical insights into captivating narratives tailored for our clients and stakeholders while offering valuable data-driven advice to support business growth.

• Partner with roles across the organization including consultants, engineering, and data scientists to address prioritized business problems.
• Make an impact to the business by influencing business and/or marketing decisions from data driven insights and analysis.
• Act as a data science advocate within our partners, advising and coaching analytical teams and sharing best practices and case studies.
• Actively seek out opportunities to innovate by using VisaNet, non-traditional data and new modelling techniques fit for purpose to the needs of our clients.
• Lead the development of data driven business insights aligned with stakeholder priorities and working closely with partners for the execution as necessary.

Projects you will be a part of:
The candidate will work across a variety of problem statements in XB team, including driving for Visa portfolio optimization, analyzing and profiling XB Affluent customer segments, and many other exciting XB problem statements where you can use your analytical skills to make an impact. This would also entail working closely with the AP XB team & Travel center-of-excellence team (Travel CoE) on their roadmap, collaborating and consulting with in-market XB teams, and would involve working closely with strategic partners when necessary.

• Create/Introduce scalable analytical frameworks to diagnose and identify improvement opportunities to drive XB Active Cards (XB AC) at issuer level.
• Partner with relevant stakeholders to identify and execute on growth opportunities, especially affluent & XB portfolio optimization, as well as intervention opportunities. Perform clustering/customer segmentation analysis to further understand the characteristics of affluent customer segments.
• Collaborate with in-market Data Scientists, Account Executives and relevant stakeholders and utilize and enhance existing XB data science assets/models to drive XB Active Cards agenda, including XB Phantom Traveler Models, XB Ultra-High-Spender(UHS) look-alike model and UHS attrition prediction model, etc.
