Senior Network and Software Security Engineer
The Network and Software Security Engineer working on the Electronic Intensive Care Unit (eICU) solution is the R&D departmental subject matter expert on Windows networking and manages the security analysis of multiple departmental and product environments.
Your role:
Work with our development teams and vendors to design and support software and hardware tooling for the eICU remote patient monitoring solution.
Assess the security landscape of our development and deployed environments.
Understand, in depth, the operating system and deployment of a Windows Server based solution that utilizes between 4 and 11 virtual machines per instance.
Work with solution vendors, both hardware and software, to obtain and maintain high quality and high-performance components. Special focus on Networking and Audio-Visual systems.
Excellent communication skills such that complex systems can be documented, diagramed, and shared cross functionally.
Subject matter expert for solution security and performance across both client and server-side software
You're the right fit if:
You’ve acquired 5+ years of experience as a systems engineer on a software solution with 3+ years of system or network design experience on a Windows based software solution.
Your skills include troubleshooting network, operating system, and software solutions in deployed environments as well as developing and implementing secure operational profiles for Windows domain and datacenters.
You have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, etc., or equivalent professional experience.
You have demonstrated experience with writing and executing scripted software tasks and have knowledge of cloud environments for both hosting and development and experience w/ vendor product evaluations and support.
You have shown proficiency in scripting languages (PowerShell, CMD shell, XML, YAML, etc.) to help w/ DevOps and CI/CD pipeline development. Knowledge of cloud environments for both hosting and development is required while managed code experience (C#, Java, etc.), Azure DevOps experience (agile product lifecycle and Git based source control) is preferred.
Experience in health care and/or other regulated environments and knowledge of current cybersecurity landscape, especially U.S. government controls and certifications is highly desirable.

Philips Transparency Details
The pay range for this position is $92,000 to $158,000, annually. The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple factors including, job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.
In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered. At Philips, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each case.
