Job purpose

• The successful candidate will be responsible for end-to-end talent acquisition activities and work closely with operation team to build a sustainable workforce through attraction, recruitment, and onboarding. You will deliver 360-degree recruitment for our stakeholders, whilst supporting and executing best practice throughout recruitment activities.

Duties and responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with department heads to understand the skills and competencies required for openings to meet the organizational recruitment demands and needs.
• Proactive in assess and proposing talent sourcing posting adverts or any other relevant channels or methods.

Qualifications

• At least 3-5 years of experience in related field. Experience in mass hiring for frontline staff would be a plus.
• Proven track record in talent acquisition to meet with the fulfilment and retention target
• Bilingual in English & Mandarin (in order to manage documentations in Chinese language & communicate with mandarin speaking employees)
• Meticulous, organized and attention to details.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent in Microsoft office especially Excel, well verse in Vlookup, if & sumif functions, pivot tables & charts.

Job Duties:
The Sr Coordinator assists in the operational management of human subject research activities, manages the confidential institutional review and approval process for research activities, and ensures participants’ safety, rights, and welfare. The coordinator provides administrative support to the IRB providing training and the necessary resources to complete reviews; ensure rosters are current, accurate and comply with federal regulations; prepares reports, drafts minutes, share with appropriate parties and ensures appropriate document management.

Job Responsibilities:
40% - Operational Management 

• Ensures that unit’s operations meet legal and regulatory requirements and are in compliance with complex federal, state, and local regulations regarding the activities of the IRB. 
• Disseminates information about and assists investigators in the preparation of complex IRB applications to ensure that required elements have been addressed. 
• Monitors changes in laws, regulations, and technology and advises management how changes may impact current operations.  
• Serves as a subject matter expert for inquiries from campus faculty members, investigators and students regarding IRB policies, procedures, and processes.  
• Collaborates  research teams in addressing complex and challenging research initiatives new to NU.

40% IRB Management

• Reviews request to amend or modify approved protocols and makes determination about which requests require full IRB review and which can be reviewed using an expedited process. 
• Prepares IRB meeting agenda and assigns protocol reviews based on subject matter knowledge and the expertise/role of each panel member. 
• Responsible for ensuring compliance with quorum and voting requirements for all IRB approvals deliberated at convened meetings.
• Drafts IRB deliberation and stipulations and effectively communicates these to the PI and members of the research team. 
• Prepares and distributes reports of expedited reviews and IRB minutes.
• Assists in the training of appropriate personnel to be IRB committee members and assigns them to review specific protocol submissions based on the appropriateness of their scientific expertise and experience as an IRB member. 
• Maintains current IRB rosters and maintain IRB member files.
• Ensures FWA and other federal registrations are current and accurate.
• Serves as a voting member on minimal risk research and as an alternative voting member for some full board research.

Job Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years of experience conducting and/or monitoring research involving human participants, or in a related administrative role supporting federally regulated human subject's research 
• Experience in the management of operational activities in a demanding, research extensive (R1) university. 
• Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply university, state, and federal regulations and policies as they pertain to human subject research.
• Demonstrated ability to perform effectively, both independently and as a team member, with a professional demeanor in a diverse and fast-paced work environment consisting of multiple and changing priorities, under minimal supervision.

Education

• The position also involves advocacy for end users through the conduct of interviews or surveys of users or customers to collect information on topics such as use-related requirements, use risks, needs, user profiles, task analysis and user interfaces.

• Additionally, the position involves needs assessment of the user-interface elements and usability characteristics of both current and future Alcon products, with special emphasis on aspects related to use safety.

• This position is accountable for ensuring user needs and requirements are translated into design concepts in collaboration with the product design teams.

• Accountable to delivering on traditional HFE activities and deliverables such as HFE Plans, development of Task Analysis to support Risk management activities, planning and conducting usability evaluations, cognitive walk-throughs, data analysis to identify opportunities and control risks, effectively report on formative and summative evaluation results, and proactively present recommendations to product teams.

• Author human factors artifacts required for regulatory compliance.

• Maintain awareness of the state of the art methods as applied to life-sciences / medical device industry.

• Maintain awareness of the rapidly evolving regulatory landscape and regional market expectations and requirements to ensure global market access for the Alcon portfolio.

• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, including engineering, marketing, quality, regulatory, and clinical areas.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school+15 yrs; Assoc.+11 yrs; M.S.+4 yrs; PhD+3 yrs)

• The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English.

• 7 Years of Relevant Experience Technical skills

• Work hours:40 hours
