PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining an effective talent and learning strategy, roadmaps, and framework to build new capabilities and skills, as well as promoting the culture of continuous and lifelong learning.

9. Prepare monthly group L&D reports and regularly reports to the stakeholders on the updates.

11. Network with IHLs on potential collaboration and be the main host and liaison for all learning journeys, industry talks and panel discussions.

12. Lead in development of Company Training Committee (CTC), identify training needs of the employees to keep up with industry transformation and ensure company is on track on CTC training and follow up on all CTC related training and grants.

13. Co-owner of learning management system (LMS), to champion, govern the use of LMS and other learning technologies that the organization uses for training delivery and tracking employee progress.

14. To prepare and manage the L&D department’s budget.

15. Responsible for maintaining L&D Policies and Procedures:

a. Regularly review the Organization’s L&D’s Policies, Procedures and Framework.

16. Audits

a. Participate in Learning & Development-related Audit by Customers, Audit Firms and Stakeholders.

17. Content Designing and Development

a. Design and develop course contents, learning materials, curriculum and learning outcomes, such as e-learning courses, classroom training sessions, and on-the-job training programs, in consultation with internal stakeholders, to meet the business requirements and ensure learning effectiveness.

b. Provide regular review to improve the training / learning materials, work closely with subject matter experts to ensure that learning materials are accurate, up-to-date, and aligned with organizational goals and objectives.

c. Lead and manage the entire process of new hires orientation, including design and deliver the programme using adult learning methodologies, adapt and adopt digitalisation best practices to improve new hires’ experiences in assimilating into their role and integrating faster into the culture.

18. Provide support relating to all talent development programs & initiatives (eg. Scholarships, Leadership Development Initiatives, etc) including but not limited to the following:

a. Manage, track and maintain a record on training related grants/subsidies relating to application submission, approval, disbursement of grant, etc.

b. Develop relevant development plans and OJT

c. Schedule participants candidacy interview between participants and interviewer and ensure CV and application forms are in order.

19. Responsible for managing the EduRise programmes:

a. Onboard and off-Board the EduRise trainees from countries coming to Singapore.

b. Mentor the trainees in their learning journey and keep track of their progress, including keeping track on trainees’ follow up on meeting requests with mentors etc.; Readily feedback to mentors on trainees’ concerns or other notable observations.

c. Schedule training sessions and communicate training details to the trainees.

Centre for the Applications of Teaching & Learning Analytics for Students (ATLAS) is leveraging on learning analytics to improve teaching and learning as part of Education Strategy 2025. This position is similar in nature to a business analyst but for advancing the use of data for teaching and learning purposes. The position is critical for developing a communication plan to get faculty and students buy-in on the learning analytics goals of the university. He or she would also be responsible for gathering faculty, students and schools’ teaching and learning needs, and translating the needs into meaningful learning analytics solutions.

He or she would be working with the director and the data scientists to enhance data literacy of faculty and students. In addition, he or she is expected to support the administration of key systems such as Denodo and Dataiku in compliance with the data and AI governance policy of the university.

Responsibilities

Communication, engagement and collaboration opportunities

• Conceptualise and execute a communication plan for learning analytics with various units in the university
• Seek opportunities to collaborate with internal and external parties to achieve the learning analytics goals
• Engage students and support faculty champions to increase acceptance and adoption of learning analytics
• Communicate with end-users and analyse their business needs
• Manage and maintain the department website

Data management

• Support the data engineer in handling data request
• Manage the data science machine learning platform
• Build the data exploration tool to support data requester in identiying potential bias and discrimination in the requested datasets.

Project Management

• Provide support for learning analytics projects by helping to build dashboards and communications

The Manager is a leadership position overseeing the activities of a specified Work-study Degree Programme (WSDeg Prog) where the incumbent contributes both as an individual contributor and to oversee a small team.

The team is responsible to ensure that internship opportunities are aligned to NTU’s learning outcome; and students can benefit from the learning experience to become more job ready.

Responsibilities

Programme and Facilitation Management (OJT)

• Design, develop and provide WSDeg Prog within respective responsible school programme area in collaboration with the relevant stakeholders; and in accordance to NTU curriculum development guidelines.
• Facilitate between industry partners and NTU faculties to constantly review the WSDeg Prog curriculum (incl related academic curriculum).
• Responsible for all aspects of WSDeg Prog according to assigned college and/or schools.
• Manage end-to-end WSDeg Prog processes up to completion of the essential assessment process.
• Collaborate with OJT employers to develop required On-the-Job Training (OJT) Training Plan in respect to the OJT designated job roles; and to facilitate its application to respective student.
• Provide consultation and coaching support to students who need help in overcome OJT challenges and to facilitate remedial actions with relevant stakeholders with concurrence.

Business Development & Stakeholders Management

• Develop and make plans to look for new OJT opportunities from current and new employers to recruit NTU students.
• Engage current and potential employers (and any relevant stakeholders) to garner relevant OJT opportunities.
• Collaborate with Team Lead to plan and develop suitable WSDeg Prog initiatives with respective schools to reinforce workplace experiential learning; and help in organizing the team to realize the agreed plan.

Career Advisory and Placement Management

• Provide career advisory support and consultation with candidates seeking enrolment to the programme to facilitate a “best-fit” outcome of the applicants and NTU.
• Provide similar career advisory support throughout the student’s study life to ensure that students are aware and prepared for the eventual expected OJT developmental stage and final placement with a company that would help to perform exemplarily.

OJT Curriculum Development and Management

• Develop and manage OJT training plan for the student; and to manage student learning progress.

Team Management

• Manage intra-teams working relationship and cohesiveness to ensure optimal operational performance and delivery for the whole of WIE and CAO.
• Provide leadership to develop and nurture the team members’ capabilities.

Strategy Management

• Support the Assistant Director and participate in whole of WIE planning in developing forward looking plans to take advantages of technology and data/information to enhance WIE capabilities so that more can be done with lesser efforts.
• Explore and contribute towards developing plans to improve chances of NTU students’ conversion from internship to full-time employment.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in any field from a recognized University.
• At least 4 to 6 years working experiences with exposure in team management role, internship/training management and service delivery experience preferably in tertiary education, adult education sectors and/or government agencies environment.
• Successful track record in the management of internships/ cooperative education/ work-study degree programme/ workplace learning/ performance enhancement or adult education.
• Familiar with adult learning pedagogy and practices of OJT.
• Able to provide career coaching support and consultation to students on their career goals, career aspiration, career development, career preparation and job search etc.
• Have some knowledge of industrial sectoral employment landscape and SkillsFuture Skills Framework.
• Candidate with qualifications in Career Facilitation Programme (CFP) and/or WSQ Advanced Certificate in Learning & Facilitation (ACLP) will have added advantages.
• A proficient written and oral communicator.
• Have an eye for detail.

Reporting to the Lead (School of Social Sciences (SSS) Undergraduate Education (UG) Office), this incumbent will be one of the key members to support all areas of administration pertaining to the Undergraduate Education matters of the School of Social Sciences, with the objective to ensure a smooth operation, timely and high- quality programme delivery to students.

Key Responsibilities:

Work closely with the Program coordinators and Program managers to support programme related matters but not limited to:

Academic and Curriculum

1. To facilitate and oversee the class and examination timetable planning.

2. Project no. of courses/places to be offered and plan the teaching assignment.

3. Manage and oversee the course registration related matters.

4. Manage and oversee the change of program applications and credit transfers.

5. Assist the Subject Head or faculty on the submission of Academic proposals (for new courses/programme, change in assessment components, change in pre-requisite and various curriculum changes).

6. Work closely with the different stakeholders.

Graduation Project (GP)

1. Plan the timeline for the GP pre-registration, registration and submission.

2. Work with the GP coordinator on the supervisor allocation.

3. Assist to consolidate the marks given by the examiners and submit to the GP coordinator for review.

Student Counseling

1. Work closely with the student care manager to coach/facilitate students who face academic issues.

2. Counsel/advise students on their academic progressions.

Part time teaching staff

1. Provide administrative support to part time teaching staff.

Requirements:

1. Recognized Bachelor's degree in any discipline. Higher learning institutional work experience will be advantageous.

2. Strong administrative skills in particularly, meticulous with details to keep track of progress status / completion within set timelines.

3. Customer service oriented as in possessing a positive attitude to approach each situation with a solution.

4. Open minded team player who readily communicates and objectively keeps the team goals in view.

5. Good communications skills in both written and spoken to handle diverse levels of stakeholders.

6. Proficient in MS Office applications is key. Prior experience in working with large data management system will have an advantage.
