JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Lead a term of machinists to fulfil production output with focus on safety, quality, and productivity.
• Train machinists in proper procedures for editing CNC programs.
• Ensure CNC machinists have the appropriate qualifications and training, gauges, programs, drawings, inspection sheet for the next job scheduled on a machine.
• Work with the machinists and production management to reduce setup times, improve quality, increase production, and properly maintain machines.
• Responsible for directing CNC activities to meet the requirements of daily manufacturing schedule.
• Check product moulds or contour tracing when inspection personnel are not available.
• Other ad-hoc tasks as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Min Nitec in Precision Engineering & Aerospace, ITE Diploma or equivalent.
• Preferably 3 to 5 years experiences in setting up and operating CNC Milling Centre.
• Experience in setting up multi-axis CNC Milling Centre.
• Strong knowledge in CNC programming. Working experience Solid CAM is must.
• Understanding of tooling criteria, machining applications and process documentation.
• Good knowledge in set parameters (feed rate, speed, etc) according to materials and tools section to achieve optimum output.
• Good knowledge in interpreting mechanical drawing.
• Good communication skills and able to work as a team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for all production matters
• Plan production schedule according to the orders and invoices, make reasonable arrangements for production and assign daily production tasks to team
• Supervise and coordinate the Standard Operations Procedures of production department.
• Enhance production progress through effective monitoring and flexible adjustment. Implement production schedules and improve productivity efficiently.
• Establish the quality awareness and enterprise spirit. Oversee and improve quality issues during production processes.
• Make the right usage of equipment, do necessary maintenance and repairs for equipment.
• Responsible for procurement of equipment and tools.
• Responsible for the daily production, keep production area clean and safe.
• Responsible for production statistics and administrative matters.
• Control and plan the cost saving for production.
• Report all issues to the upper management and communicate with subordinates carefully and patiently.

Overview

As a Foreman (Senior / Assistant), you will assist the Production Supervisor (Senior / Assistant) in performing the overall Tiling operation in PBU Fitting Plant. You are to adhere to Quality, Environmental and Safety Management System in accordance with the Company’s standards and customers’ requirements.

Responsibilities

1) Perform installation and repair of PBU Fitting.

2) Ensure that all installation and repair fall within standards, measured to specifications and within tolerances & etc.

3) Perform product identification and traceability activities, as required.

4) Coordinate with other department to resolve Quality issue.

5) Lead the team in the shift in efficient operation and discipline of the production.

6) Ensure Team members perform according to Quality requirement.

7) Maintain 5 “S” in the production floor.

8) Contribute ideas which can lead to cost saving, productivity efficiency, accuracy and timeliness targets.

9) Manage, coach and train the team members include carrying out performance review and disciplinary action, if required.

10) Authorize to stop operation if conditions are out of safety measures or not able to achieve specified process / operation conditions in production.

11) Relay instructions from head of department to the teams.

12) Flag noncompliance issues to supervisors.

13) Perform any other duties as assigned by the Management and the designated manager.

Requirements

1) Minimum PSLE with at least 5 years’ experience working in PBU Fitting environment.

2) Minimum ITE with at least 2 years’ experience working in PBU Fitting environment.

3) Knowledge of ISO 9000 and HSE will be an advantage.

4) Possess problem-solving, analyzing and reporting skills.

5) Possess supervisory skills with manpower planning experiences.

6) Independent with high level of initiative and fast learner.

7) Possess good interpersonal skills and excellent team spirit.

8) Positive attitude in learning.
