Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Logistics Administrator to join our team in the healthcare industry, focusing primarily on freight forwarding operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of logistics processes, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Responsibilities:
1. Coordinate and manage all aspects of freight forwarding operations for healthcare products, including scheduling shipments, tracking deliveries, and ensuring timely and accurate documentation.
2. Liaise with freight forwarders, carriers, and customs brokers to facilitate the smooth movement of goods, ensuring compliance with regulations and industry standards.
3. Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment orders to ensure adequate stock levels while minimizing excess inventory.
4. Collaborate with internal teams, including procurement, warehouse, and distribution, to optimize supply chain efficiency and meet customer demand.
5. Resolve any transportation-related issues, such as delays or damages, by communicating effectively with relevant stakeholders and implementing corrective actions.
6. Maintain accurate records of shipments, expenses, and performance metrics, and generate reports as needed to evaluate logistics performance and identify areas for improvement.
7. Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance and maximize operational efficiency.
8. Assist in the development and implementation of logistics strategies to support business objectives and enhance overall supply chain effectiveness.
9. Provide support for special projects or initiatives related to logistics and supply chain management, as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
1. Previous experience (2 to 3 years min.) in logistics administration, preferably in the healthcare industry or a similar regulated environment.
3. Strong knowledge of freight forwarding processes, including transportation modes, customs regulations, and documentation requirements.
4. Proficiency in logistics software and systems, such as warehouse management systems (WMS).
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal teams and external vendors.
6. Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
7. Problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
