This role based in Singapore to ensure the availability of finished goods and raw materials and optimizing service levels, inventory levels, and the supply chain. He/she has to monitors the inventory flow, to inform stakeholders, and to take proactive measures to ensure that agreed demand plans and targets are met.
Job Responsibilities:
• Assessing the financial structure and inventory storage capabilities of the business..
• Anticipating stock demands based on current and future business demand plan and consensus forecast.
• Analyzing and anticipating market trends for the best time to purchase inventory.
• Creating inventory reports and presenting purchase proposal plan to Planning Manager
• Ensuring the business has a steady flow of stock without overcapitalizing on materials.
• Suggesting changes to inventory warehousing plan to meet increased or reduced demand.
• Working closely with Demand Planner to develop consensus forecasts, identify risks, and explore opportunities for optimizing capacity utilization to drive profitability.
• Working with Demand Planner and monitoring new production development (NPD) and End of life (EOL) projects.
• Ensuring all demand signals are captured and working supply planning collaboratively with cross functional team.
• Managing total inventory to target expectations and customer service availability agreements.
• Establishes safety stock targets and manages supply plans against those targets.
• Monitors and controls inventory aging and follows through with Demand Planner on recommended actions and disposal of slow-moving and obsolete inventory.
• Optimizes the supply planning processes to continuously drive efficiency and productivity improvements.
• Accountable for raw material inventory turns.
• Manages the inventory strategies towards inventory optimization and supply model strategically to reduce the total supply chain cost and maintains the right service level.
• Accountable for FG and RM forecast adjustment and accuracy.
•Execution of POs and DOs, maintaining PO & DO status, and resolving any invoice discrepancies pertaining to the PO raised by Finance
• Collect hardcopies of the FTA from the supplier, sort, and scan into a shared drive, and forward the hard copy to the Finance Department
• Conduct a weekly SOE meeting.
• Provide transactional information and support to Procurement regarding raw material complaints and return shipments.
Sales and Operations Planning
• Participate in S&OP meeting and host supply planning meeting inclusive of preparation on slides , reports and dashboard to ensure a productive discussion
• Responsible to provide insights on inventory trends and providing accountability to site teams on performance and impact
Information Technology , Data & Stewardship
• Maintain a monthly KPI for setting and delivering supply chain targets.
• Maintain a monthly KPI report, supply chain performance data, and propose improvement opportunities.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports of operations.
• Closely monitoring supplier’s shipping documents. Coordinate with the forwarder for customs clearance of incoming freight, handle broken bags and cost issues resulting from container cleaning.
Job Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain/Business Management or equivalent
• A minimum of 5 years' work experience in the related field; Preferably 2 years' experience in the planning function; material planning, production planning, or equivalent experience.
• Fluent in English and other languages will be at advantage. This role required to close communicate with oversea colleague in China
