$92,005 to $110,020 + 15.4% Super p.a. S26 Transfer or Non-Ongoing Salary Your new company Our client is a Federal Government Agency. Your new role Your general duties will be to:
Monitor and respond to procurement and contract management helpdesk enquiries in a proactive, professional, accurate and timely manner, aligned to the Commonwealth Resource Management Framework (consisting of the Commonwealth Procurement Rules, PGPA Act, AAIs, and other legislative and policy requirements)
Using standard checklists, review and approve procurement and contract registrations through the Department's Financial Management Information System (SAP) and ensure that registrations are generally compliant in accordance with the department's AAIs
Review procurement and approach to market documentation in line with the Commonwealth Procurement Rules (as applicable) and provide draft comments and amendments to senior staff or line areas, as appropriate
Assist with AusTender publishing and AusTender upkeep in relation to panels and other administrative requirements
Liaise professionally with internal and external stakeholders such as Business Divisions, AusTender Helpdesk, and other Commonwealth agencies in order to achieve work area goals
Assist in the development of procurement and contract management guidance to ensure information is up-to-date, accurate and meets the needs of the clients
In addition, as one of the more senior team members, you will:
Review, analyse and advise on complex strategic procurement and contract management issues and effectively communicate timely advice to others, in line with legislative requirements, in a way which is persuasive and appropriate to the audience.
Review, analyse, advise, approve and publish procurement and approach to market documentation in line with the Commonwealth Procurement Rules (as applicable), and other legislative requirements within the required timeframe
Guide and advise staff and delegates about compliance with legislative, financial and administrative frameworks, government decision-making processes (such as whole of government arrangements and policies), and Departmental guidelines and, as appropriate, record compliance breaches of the same
Undertake detailed quality assurance reviews of procurement and contract registrations through the Department's Financial Management Information System (SAP)
Coordinate and deliver statutory procurement related reporting, as required
Review, evaluate and recommend procurement and contract management process improvements and updates and, where required, participate in strategic planning and policy development for the team.
Assist other team members to deal with and complete complex and difficult tasks
Assist the Team Leader in reviewing, amending and updating relevant departmental procurement guidance, instruction and training materials in line with Commonwealth and departmental legislative and policy changes
What you'll need to succeed
A permanent place in the APS for an S26 Transfer or willing to take on a non-ongoing contract within the salary of the banding
A minimum Baseline Security Clearance, NV1 Highly desirable
A formal qualification in procurement and/or contract management, or other relevant professional qualifications
