About the role

Amartha is one of the biggest fintech players in Indonesia. We provide micro financing to women entrepreneurs in rural areas by connecting them with online potential lenders. We are currently looking for a data scientist intern to join the Amartha data team. In this role you will use your expertise in computer science and data analysis to support and optimize our business process and solve real life problems. You will have the opportunity to work closely with experienced data scientists and learn hands-on how a data scientist works in the financial industry.

Responsibilities

• Complete ad hoc data request for business stakeholders
• Write SQL queries to extract data based on the user requests
• Create effective data visualization to show insights from data at a glance
• Design and develop dashboards to monitor critical business metrics
• Meet with users to clarify ambiguous business problems and propose a concrete data solution

• A Bachelor’s / Master's degree in engineering or quantitative fields
• Experienced in extracting data from databases using SQL queries
• Experienced in presenting data insights using effective data visualizations
• Ability to simplify and clearly communicate complex concepts to non technical persons
• Strong problem solving skills.
• Strong resolve on facing uncertainties and new challenges
• Ability to think clearly under pressure
