Purpose of Job :
Responsible for the successful management of a company owned distributorship, meeting or exceeding all operational and financial goals, including gross profit generation and lead acquisition strategies.

Financial:
Accountable for the P&L and budget performance for the operation.
Review, monitor and analyze weekly scorecard and monthly financials to identify variances to FY financial plan and design and implement action plans to address deficiencies.
Actively manage AR to maintain acceptable level for operation.
Develop and implement action plans for accounts with unacceptable AR balances.
Participate in developing annual operation budget.
Manage inventory to coincide with selling activity to ensure proper levels.
Plan for and identify root causes of inventory deviation through cause and effect analysis and design and implement action plans to address deficiencies.
Manage Dealer Inventory Optimization (DIO) for maximum sales efficiency.

Market Risk Manager
The Organisation
Centrica Energy is Centrica's trading arm. We trade LNG, gas, power, and energy attributes - and connect independent producers, suppliers, and corporate off-takers in the wholesale energy markets.
The Team
The Centrica Energy Market Risk team identifies, evaluates, measures, and controls all market risks to which Centrica Energy is exposed through its portfolio of physical and contractual assets and trading activities. Its role is to proactively provide all stakeholders with actionable insight on specific and portfolio-level risks, both existing and potential, to ensure Centrica Energy achieves its commercial, financial, and strategic objectives while controlling for potential downside losses with a robust and resilient risk control framework.
The team ensures the business operates in a controlled manner under its risk mandate and established governance frameworks. It also provides an independent and constructive challenge to front-office trading strategies and advice on market risk management strategies and methods for new business ventures and proposals.
The Role
This is a new role within Centrica Energy Market Risk designed to supplement day-to-day risk management and control activities carried out by the team by performing scheduled and routine deep dives on trading strategies and new commercial activities to deliver additional independent risk insight to the Centrica Energy Leadership Team and Risk Committee and contribute to the continuous improvement of our approach to risk management by challenging our methodologies and underlying assumptions.
This position requires a strategic and analytical thinker with a deep understanding of commodity markets, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work independently and shape the Strategy and Advisory role while collaborating across teams to ensure effective risk management.
Responsibilities and deliverables
Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and quantification of risks across Centrica Energy's portfolio and trading desks and develop a coherent near real-time view across markets, independently assessing the risk/reward of strategies and advising on portfolio management.
Prepare Strategy and Advisory papers for presentation to the fortnightly Centrica Energy Risk Committee and update senior management on the risks held across the trading portfolio, advising on risk management strategies to optimise trading performance and ensure adherence to company risk policies.
Prepare Market Risk analysis and written reports for new business initiatives and trading strategies for review and approval by the Centrica Energy New Commitments Committee and Centrica CEO, CFO and Board
Maintain and develop the Centrica Energy Risk Market Mandate and prepare papers for presentation to the Centrica Group Hedging Policy Committee.
Prepare other ad-hoc reports at short notice for management.
Collaborate with traders, quantitative analysts, and other risk managers to enhance risk modelling and measurement methodologies.
Monitor compliance with all market risk limits that comprise the risk control framework.
Stay abreast of market developments, regulatory changes, and industry trends to identify emerging risks proactively.
Work closely with other Market Risk Managers to ensure all market risks are captured, monitored, and reported by the risk control framework (RCF).
Work closely with Market Risk Operations and Analytics to enhance risk systems and analytical tools.

The Person
Demonstrable experience in energy & commodity trading within a commercially focused risk management team or trading.
Extensive knowledge of physical and financial wholesale energy market fundamentals and traded instruments across power, gas, emissions, LNG, and renewables, and demonstrable experience in quantifying and managing vanilla and exotic option portfolio risks.
Extensive knowledge and experience working with risk management methods and techniques - Value at Risk, Profit at Risk (PaR), Potential Future Exposure (PFE), Stress Testing, Scenario Analysis, P&L stop losses, etc.
Experience working with ETRM systems - Endur, Alegro, EOS, or proprietary in-house, and strong IT skills including any of the following: VBA, SQL, Python, R, Matlab, Power BI
Strong analytical, organisational, and critical thinking skills.
Able to work independently to find creative solutions to complex problems.
Proactive and drives continuous improvement.
Stakeholder and customer-focused with strong networking and influencing skills across the business, including trading, origination, and management at all levels.
