East Sussex Healthcare Trust are looking for a strong technical accountant with previous managerial experience who works well within a team and has a track record of delivery to timetables. You will be a self-motivated, pro-active individual with strong time management and organisational skills. You will have excellent technical, communication and influencing skills.
The Senior Financial & Capital Accountant will be responsible for ensuring the Trust’s financial accounting is accurate and compliant with all statutory requirements, through monitoring and maintaining key financial controls over the Trust’s balance sheet, supported by a team of two. The role also has responsibility for the accounts of the Trust’s Charitable Funds, and provides both routine and ad hoc financial analysis of capital spend.
An advanced level of IT skills, both on integrated finance systems and MS Office, are required.
A formal accountancy qualification and recent experience of financial accounting within a large complex organisation are essential.

To be responsible to produce accurate financial information, the analysis of complex information for both finance and non-finance staff, for the integrity of the Trust’s fixed asset register and Statement of Financial Position.
