Summary of Role

Manage full spectrum of finance functions including management & statutory reporting, audit, taxation, corporate secretarial, financial operations.

Key Accountabilities

Reporting

• Responsible for monthly, quarterly closing and management and statutory reporting
• Providing financial advice and proactive support to the management and business operation on all aspects of accounting and finance-related work tasks

• Higher education in Finance, Accountancy, HR, or Equivalent.
• Proficient in MS Office, INFOTECH, XERO, SAP, etc.

Job Scope:

• Assist HOD in all aspects relating to the accounting functions to facilitate the closing of the full set of accounts
• Lead and supervise team members and work well with management in meeting targets
• Perform daily accounting function including AP, AR, GL and Bank Reconciliation
• Ensure timely and accurate closing of accounts and preparation of monthly financial reports and schedules
• Perform payment forecast and monitor cashflow
• Analysis of accounts
• Develop & implement process improvements
• Liaising with Auditors
• Any other assignment as assigned by Management

Requirements:

• Minimum of Degree in accounting or equivalent
• At least 3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in freight forwarding industry
• Proficient in MS Office
• Ability to work independently with high level of initiative and resourcefulness
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, meticulous and committed individual who can work with little supervision under tight deadlines
• Good team player with good interpersonal and communication skills
