Project/ Site Engineer

Main project scope: bridge works in KK area

Role:

• To attend, monitor, record and report site activities.
• To liaise with client, project team, consultants and subcontractors on project related matters.
• To attend monthly progress meeting and any other project meetings when necessary.
• To produce and compile monthly progress report and progress claims including monitoring and compilation of work programme and method statements, project correspondences etc.
•  Any other project related works as instructed by project manager.
•  Need to visit site often.

Qualification: Civil Engineer

Experience : 3 - 5 years working of civil projects, with site experience

Experience in bridge construction is an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

• Directs, coordinates, and exercises functional authority for planning, organization, control, integration, and completion of engineering projects within area of assigned responsibility. • Liaising, interacting with design engineers using CAD software to draft designs to interpreting client’s needs and requirements for ensure overall customer satisfaction.
• Performing quality assurance on all electrical components, schedules, plans, and reporting on the project's status.
• Reviews product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications.
• Coordinates activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems.
• Cooperating and communicating with the Project Manager and collaborating with respective department to create more efficient project methods and to maintain the project's profitability.
• Diagnosing problems and troubleshooting problem meets in the project handled.
• Document support and reference. Prepares interim and completion project reports.
• Other duties and task given by management from time to time.

Requirements: 

To be successful in this position you will require the following skills/experience:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical/Power) or equivalent tertiary qualifications.
• Fresh Graduate Student or 1~2 years’ experience in Switchboard design and manufacturing industry.
• Technical background/Studied/Explored in power system analysis, principle of Low and Medium  Voltage System.
• More initiative in communication, willing to share and ask.
• Have project management skills. Preferable with project management certificate/course. 
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Preferable with product low voltage and medium voltage (Siemens) IEC standard knowledge.
• Additional Switchboard design in AutoCAD.

SCOPE OF WORK:

·         Co-ordinate, monitor and supervise all related parties in ensuring projects complete as per stipulated timeline.

·         Handle enquiries from customers in respect of installation and technical specifications.

·         Prepare, produce and compile engineering drawings and documentations for tender submission and project execution.

·         Prepare, update and maintain project documentation system and marketing document database in a timely manner.

·         Prepare layout drawing as and when required to support sales tender document submission.

·         Handle equipment of stationary and portable compressed dry air (CDA) system and power generator in general factory and oil and gas platform. 

·         Knowledge of hydraulic power unit system will be added advantage.

·         Abide all company's filed procedures and protocols.

·         Work with technical team and share information across the organisation.
