Job Responsibilities

• Implement, manage and constantly improve the company’s quality management system, including but not limited to the IVD products and equipment;
• Regularly perform internal audits, compile audit reports, problem analysis reports, improvement proposals, and monitor the rectification plan and its implementation;
• Lead and Participate in the internal audits and management reviews of the company's quality system as key member of company's quality department;

Qualifications:

• Quality system related training and internal auditor training;
• Familiar with ISO9000 & ISO13485 quality management system and certification work, experience with successful case(s) will be preferred;
• Familiar with GMP and medical device industry standards and specifications;
• Strong quality management system knowledge and capabilities;

Quality Control Manager, Flavor

As a Quality Control Manager leading out Flavor business unit, you will be responsible to plan, lead and manage QC Finished Goods for both Powder and Liquid Teams. You will be working closely with cross functional departments on quality-related issues and resolutions. Additionally, you will be expected to lead engagement with external stakeholders on quality-related technical queries and involved in continuous process improvement initiatives on customer and regulatory requirements. This role will be reporting to Quality Control Director.

The Position:

• Plan, lead and manage QC Finished Goods for both Powder and Liquid Teams.
• Good understanding of Flavor chemistry, sensory and deviation management.
• Cross-functional support to Raw Materials team.
• Lead investigations on quality issues of internal rejections and customer complaints.
• Partner with cross functional departments on quality-related resolutions.
• Lead engagement with external customers on quality-related technical queries.
• Manage, maintain and continually improve systems to meet customer and regulatory requirements.
• Support regional QC on technical matters and key customers’ requirements.
• Set standardized approach in managing global and key customers to meet QC requirements.
• Lead continuous process improvement, process automation and digitalization to increase efficiency and productivity in APAC.
• Support APAC SAP activities and technical queries
• Lead cost tracker activities for Finished Goods Powder Team
• Lead the assigned activities relevant to QC

The Ideal Candidate:

• Degree in Chemistry, Food Chemistry or relevant field
• At least 7-8 years of experience in the Flavor & Fragrance industry
• Strong knowledge in Flavor Chemistry and equip with good Sensory capability
• A highly motivated team player with experience leading a competent team.
• Proven record of successful leading of QC Team
• Experience in deviation management and knowledge in relevant regulatory compliance

Scope and Responsibility:

• Be the main person in charge in maintaining the Management System (FSMS and HSE)
• Manage and report actions for products under quality on-hold or other issues to the Management including major issues which could affect business performance
• Ensure the QA team perform their roles and responsibilities as defined in their job description
• Ensure all products received, stored, process, packed and distributed in compliance with SOPs
• Key contact person for operational staff, customers and suppliers on Quality matters
• Overseeing and Handling of customer complaints/feedback and Goods Return
• Ensure process monitoring - GWP/Pest Control/Hygiene/Safety in the company compound
• Involving in regulatory, statutory and customer’s audits and assist in follow-up corrective/preventive actions
• Managed Document Control
• Relationship management on QA or compliance matters, supporting our Sales, Operation & Logistic team
• Any other ad hoc duty as assigned by the Management

Requirements:

• Diploma/Degree in Food Science or related
• Minimum 5 years of related working and supervisory experience
• Applicant who possesses relevant qualifications, employment background and suitable skill sets are most welcome to apply
• Knowledge in ISO22000:2018/FSSC22000, or any other GFSI recognized certification.
• Good communicative and social skills, comfortable with communicating with internal stakeholders and external parties (Eg, SFA officer, auditors, customers, vendors, etc)
• Team player with strong interpersonal skills, able to multi-task and work independently
• Technically oriented and able to deal with meat product.
• Administratively organized, meticulous, accurate, service oriented.
• Ability to set priorities independently (solution-oriented).
• Proficient in MS Office applications.

Responsibilities:

• To ensure supply chain processes comply with national regulatory compliance and meet international benchmarks and standards.
• Leads in addressing quality assurance issues in the production department
• Conduct walk by inspections and give real time feedback to team leaders and operators.
• Conduct regular internal audits, surveillance and inspections.
• Complete internal audits on time
• Update Quality manual
• Develop QA plans by conducting hazard analysis, identify Critical Control Points, implement preventive measures, establishing critical limits, monitor procedures, corrective actions and verification procedures.
• Provide advices on and propose in-house quality procedures, standards, and specifications to management.
• To assure consistency in product safety and quality by developing and enforcing Good Manufacturing Practice, validating existing processes, providing documentation and staff management.
• To work closely with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Service Departments to analyse customer complaints and feedbacks, and act as a catalyst for change and improvement in product quality to meet changes in existing customer’s requirements.
• Ensure ISO standards are implemented by all Q. C. Executives (Food Technologist), team leaders and operators.
• To provide leadership and guidance, orientate, train, and guide Q. C. / Q. A. staff and other subordinates on their job.
• Work with Production and Q. C. to establish SOP / WI for use in training staff, like new workers

Requirements:

• Holder of a relevant degree and at least 3 years and above experience in a similar role in a food production company
• Mastery of ISO, HACCP, and Halal standards
• Experience in Food Safety regulatory auditing will be an added advantage
• Self-driven, self-discipline, good team worker
• Self-management (stress management, work organization, time management)
• Willingness and flexibility to work in special projects requiring his/her skills
• Able to communicate fluently in Mandarin and written Chinese
