Job Description

SCHEDULING

- Work with nursing team & providers to coordinate & schedule appointments to meet patient’s needs, coordinate provider schedule

- Obtain and coordinate referrals & conduct pre-authorization

- Arrange interpreter services

- Check patients in/out

- Operate multi-line phone

- May resolve work queue issues, manage recall and waitlists, & serve as switchboard operator calling codes and paging providers

ADDITIONAL DUTIES MAY INCLUDE

- Preparation & coordination of charts

- Organize supporting provider documents

- Initiation & collaboration of patient financial assistance

- Track patient visits & health information management on patient accounts

- Compile, distribute, administer, and score assessments

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Post-secondary education helpful.

One year of work experience, preferably in a medical office setting. Medical terminology helpful; customer service skills essential. Six months' customer service experience desired.

May require BLS for certain locations and/or settings.

Transformation of clinical pathways in womens health is key in bring care out of hospitals and closer to communities. There are a number of services in existence which bridge from Primary Care through to Tertiary Care, and this role will support the ICB at Place to review and develop pathways to meet the needs of the population, ensuring that appropriate interventions are delivered in appropriate services; this may include working with system partners to design new approaches. This postholder will provide clinical leadership to the Elective Care Transformation programme, focusing on Womens Health, and will be part of the wider pathway review process (including providing a clinical perspective on pathways unrelated to womens health), working alongside the relevant strategic lead to shape the delivery of improvements to the health outcomes and experience of women and girls across the East Riding of Yorkshire and Hull. Specifics: Work with partners to ensure the approach to developing new or amending existing womens health pathways across the East Riding of Yorkshire and Hull is clinically sound, delivered in collaboration with the clinical community, and can be sustained into the future. Provide clinical leadership to the review of existing womens health pathways and activities Provide clinical leadership to the development of new womens health pathways Participate in the wider review of clinical pathways from a General Practice perspective, which may extend beyond purely womens health Ensure a health inequalities informed approach to system change, supporting the ICS objective of reducing the healthy life expectancy gap across Humber and North Yorkshire.

Job Summary: Administers nursing care to an assigned group of patients based on physician's orders, nursing care plan and the Oklahoma Board of Nursing Scope of Practice. Consults with registered nurse to plan patient care. Performs a variety of direct and indirect patient care duties including data collection.

Minimum Education: Completion of a state approved Licensed Practical Nurse program or registered nurse coursework approved by the Board of Nursing as practical nurse equivalency.

Attends mandatory in-services and meets unit education standards. Accurately completes variance reports. Modifies behaviors or performance to comply with care standards and unit requirements.
