The technical team is an independent team of experts within IQ-EQ providing technical and regulatory assistance / advice to global client services teams, sales and implementation teams, and global clients within the Funds & Institutional segment.

The core part of technical team work is focused on 3 key areas:

1) Technical Advisory (technical accounting and PE/RE industry / regulatory related queries, technical support to sales and implementation team for new clients etc) ;

2) Technical Reviews (technical / quality reviews of financials, key accounting policies and other complex deliverables); and

3) Technical Updates (monitoring latest accounting, industry and regulatory updates. Issuing technical alerts for internal teams and clients. Delivering technical presentations and other specific training modules for accounting teams).

To facilitate the delivery of the 3 key areas effectively to the stakeholders, a technical team member will be at the forefront of the private equity and real estate fund industry developments, including but not limited to financial reporting.

As a team leader, you will need to resolve technical accounting queries raised by the Client Services (CS) team and clients in a timely manner, provide technical support to sales and implementation team for prospective and/or new clients

You will responsible for performing reviews on the working papers, financial statements and other complex client deliverables (including quality reviews), to help shape and ensure product quality control of the CS output. Whilst main focus is on IFRS and US GAAP, there are opportunities to develop experience in other GAAPs e.g. UK GAAP, Lux GAAP, Monitor latest accounting/ legislative changes impacting our clients and draft technical updates for accounting / legislative changes accordingly for release internally to CS teams as well as externally to global clients.

The Role and Department
The Transactional Financial Team represents the larger part of the Finance Department and includes all the processing and compliance functions including e.g., Cash Management and Reconciliation, Accounts Payable, Student Services and Credit control approx. and responsibility for the Financial Accounts (FTE 47). • Responsible for technical and administration activities for clients IT infrastructure which will include deployment, configuring, maintenance, upgrading and migration of business-critical infrastructure such as servers, workstations, and system/network equipment.
• Responsible for IT hardware, software, and maintenance procurement
• Review and submit IT budgets (operational and development) for approval.

Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Computer Science / Computer Engineering / IT Networking or any other related field of studies.
• At least five (5) years of experience is required.
• Effectively administrate Windows Active Directory, Symantec Endpoint Protection, Veeam Backup, Cisco L2 Switches and Palo Alto, Firewall.
• Good technical skills in LAN/WAN, configuration and troubleshooting PC and server hardware knowledge.
• Professional certifications i.e., Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) will be advantageous.

Job Descriptions

• Manage Technical Operation Team’s day-to-day operations (i.e. repair work, routine servicing, maintenance & T&C processes)
• Manage customer’s expectation, quality service deliverables and establish good rapport for long term relationship
• Manage department resources to ensure continuous smooth operations
• Monitor and conduct review on department manpower competency level
• Ensure continuous training/improvement plan is in place across the Technical team
• Ensure regular review of equipment refresh for customers
• Conduct quality checks on works completed
• Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental and Assurance regulations
• Able to troubleshoot and carry out repair work for M&E Infrastructures services in Data Center

Requirements

• Diploma/Degree and above in Mechanical & Electrical or relevant discipline
• Min 5 years of relevant working experience with at least 2 years in managerial position
• Excellent knowledge of M&E services with a relevant qualification
• Fire Safety Manager certification is preferred
• Green Mark certification or equivalent certification
• LEW certification an advantage
• Good interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated and meticulous
• Class 3 Driving Licence is preferred
