Are you a detail-oriented and highly organised individual with a passion for all things HR?
Balfour Beatty, the UK's largest infrastructure group, is seeking a talented HR Administrator to join our HR Shared Services team in Newcastle (Quorum Business Park, Longbenton).
In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for managing all people-related administration, from recruitment, to employee lifecycle changes, through to leaver administration, supporting our 12,000 direct employees in the UK.
Our HR Shared Services team are responsible for the handling of 140,000 requests and queries each year, so you will be at the forefront of ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our HR function.
What you'll be doing
What you will contribute:
As a member of our Core Service Delivery team, you will work closely with our Business Units to ensure that we fully understand their unique needs and context. You will be joining a team of around 40 professionals who are dedicated to delivering first-class HR services. Specifically, you will be responsible for providing people-related administration for our 12,000+ directly employed employees based in the UK
You will be responsible for:
- Managing the onboarding process for new employees, from issuing offers to making arrangements for a seamless onboarding experience
- Providing top-notch support to existing employees, handling their requests related to Terms & Conditions, employment details, any other changes that may occur during their employment with Balfour Beatty;
- Being a knowledgeable and approachable point of contact for employees who have questions, whether by phone or live chat
- Managing administrative tasks related to employees leaving the business
- Maintaining accurate data in our HR systems, specifically Oracle R12
- Collaborating closely with the payroll team to ensure timely and accurate payments
- Contributing to projects and continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing the effectiveness and quality of our HR services.
