Job Overview

Oversee the finance, accounts, income tax, treasury and secretarial matters of the organization. Ensure that all subsidiaries follow the correct accounting standards and responsible in the production of management accounting information to steer leadership decisions of the Board.

Job Description 

• Manage the corporate month-end accounting process.
• Prepare the Group’s consolidated financial statements in accordance to Malaysian Accounting Standard Board.
• Consolidate the Group budget for the management reporting pack.
• Prepare the Board reporting pack.
• Manage the monthly variance analysis and providing constructive commentary on the financial performance.
• Liaise with external auditors and resolve any issues raised by the external auditors during the annual audit.
• Report quarterly income statement of the Group to the Board.
• Monitor the cash flow and bank borrowing position of the Group and report monthly to the Board.
• Manage secretarial matters of the Group.
• Perform corporate tax planning.
• Train and supervise accountants and junior accounting staff for their performance.
• Attend top management meetings on group and company levels. 
• Inform and assist the Board to comply with the statutory requirements.
• Perform other related duties to benefit the mission of the organisation. 

Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy / Finance.
• Preference will be given to holders of Master’s Degree in Management Accounts.
• Minimum five (5) years of working experience in Senior Accountant role at corporate level.
• Preferably a chartered accountant and/or candidate who possess professional qualification (ACCA / CPA / ICAEW / MICPA etc.)
• Knowledgeable in corporate finance, accounts, banking, income tax and company secretarial matters with good management and analytical skills.

Job Description

We are looking for the right candidate to head the Accounts and Finance Department; to lead, develop, manage and motivate a team of 20 including senior managers and managers.

• Responsible for full spectrum of financial accounting and operations, planning and    analysis, financing, taxation, corporate governance, controls, asset management,    training, risk management, general administration, etc.
•  Oversee and manage preparation of accounts for companies within the group, ensuring the audit reports are done and filed on a timely manner.
•  Ensure full compliance of accounting standards and practices, Companies Act and  other statutory requirements
•  Planning and managing working capital funds in line with short term and long-term operational needs
•  Monitoring, controlling and forecasting the inflow and outflow of funds
•  Develop good relationships and liaise with bankers, tax agents, auditors, customers and suppliers
• Prepare the yearly operating budget for the company to ensure that all financial objectives are fulfilled and manage performance against budget, highlighting concerns and opportunities
