The purpose of this role is to work with business users to define requirements for banking applications, develop and implement solutions and to be responsible for resolving day-to-day system issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with a whole spectrum of business users, Bankers, Traders, Finance, Risk, Capital Market, and Operation to understand their needs and processes to produce clear requirement specifications.
• Work on the whole solution lifecycle from Coding/Development of solution, unit testing, support user in UAT, validate results, and implementation in production.
• Co-ordinate with Head Office and/or vendors on projects and issues where needed.
• Provide day-to-day application support to users.
• System enhancement, code changes, and ensure these are managed and implemented timely and smoothly.

Requirements

• Must have a degree in Computer Science or equivalent, from a good university.
• Must be effectively bilingual in English and Chinese, with strong ability to converse, read, and write in Chinese as most documents and correspondence with Head Office are in Chinese.
• Must have worked in a Bank, or worked in a vendor and deployed full-time to a Bank.
• Must have good coding experience.
• A highly positive attitude, self-driven, and thrive in high pressure with strict deadline.
• Organized, meticulous, independent worker but also able to work in a team.

Strong technical knowledge and/or hands-on experience on the following areas will be an advantage but not essential:

• .Net Development, familiarity with the ASP.NET, SharePoint development.
• Python Development, expertise in at least one popular Python framework (like Django)
• Microsoft BI solutions, such as VBA, Power BI, SQL Server
• Familiarity with Data ETL, SQL, Hive and data presentation
• Knowledge of banking domain and instruments/products will be an advantage but not essential.
• Experience in data warehouse project is a plus.

As the Head of Finance, you will join our Executive Management Team (EMT), leading the organisation's Finance team and work directly with the CEO, Heads of Department and operational managers across the organisation.
The purpose and aims of the role is to direct and support the Operational Finance team ensuring day to day operational systems are in place and working effectively and act as the strategic advisor to the Executive Management Team (EMT) and Board of Trustees. SCiA has a diverse and exciting portfolio, and you will ensure the Group is financially efficient and effective in all its work. Your main responsibilities will cover legislation, strategic and operational, contracts and funding, systems and leadership. What you'll need to succeed
You will be a fully qualified accountant with an expansive experience of accounting, audit and compliance, with ideally a minimum of at least 3 years' experience at a senior level within a medium/large group finance function. Previous experience of working for a charity would be useful, as is working within the local government, health or social care sector.
It's vital you will have knowledge and experience of dealing with contracts, negotiations and commercial decision-making, which should give you strong organisational skills. The ability to manage and prioritise your own workload, respond to changing demands and work without close supervision is essential. Excellent IT skills with Sage are a must but the ability to use charity accounting, SORP, can be picked up.

Finance and Operations for a pre-revenue Biotech business

Your new company
Your new business is a pre-revenue Biotechnology business who use Cell's to produce different Immunocells to treat a range of therapeutic indications including tumours.

Your new role
You will be in charge on working on the Finance, Operations and HR part of the business. As they have their own Accountancy, you will help the Founders create and consult on projects and programmes.

What you'll need to succeed
They need someone to come from either a Start-Up or SME type business within Biotech or Pharmaceuticals or similar within healthcare. If you have operations or project management experience, that will also be ideal.
