Specialist Administration Assistant (Air Traffic Control) Fed Gov - aviation sector Melbourne Airport Australian Citizenship required This position supports the delivery of the air traffic services by providing high-level administration support to Line Leaders, Operation Managers, Shift Managers and Air Traffic Controllers. This support is provided to all Southern and Northern FIR Operations - Melbourne and Brisbane Centres, Remote Terminal Control Units and Towers. This is a unique role in a highly technical work environment where administrative and operational matters are constantly inter-dependent. Support staff actions can directly impact service delivery. For example, a simple error with manipulation of QUINTIQ can result in live deficiencies in roster coverage thereby directly impacting service delivery. This role will include: Providing administrative support such as preparing reports, documents, and spreadsheets Ensuring compliance with filing and licencing processes Building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders Assisting with ad-hoc roster changes as required, including shift replacements Coordinating maintenance of operational and office needs This role will require shift work as a member of a small team covering 7 days per week, 0600 - 2230h To be successful in this position, it is expected that you will have the following attributes: Required Strong organisational and problem solving skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks, and meet externally dictated deadlines that may directly impact service delivery. Proven ability and confidence to identify discrepancies and inconsistencies through reviewing reports and/or work practices and raise these with team members and/or supervisors as appropriate. Proven ability to demonstrate initiative and judgement in consideration of sensitive situations and provide quality output. Demonstrated ability to correctly interpret and apply standards, procedures and regulations in regards rostering and staff replacement. Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with highly effective time and self- management skills to establish, review and meet deadlines, whilst ensuring accuracy and attention to detail. Undertake tasks in a professional and friendly manner, and maintain a task focus in a complex work environment. Hold or can obtain an ASIC. Desirable Highly proficient in the use of QUINTIQ application and able to provide instruction, error correction and guidance in its operational use. Demonstrated computer literacy with particular proficiency in Microsoft Office particularly Word, Excel, and multiple Outlook accounts. Good knowledge of SAP (e.g. ATC Licensing, Leave, WBS), Orbit and TRIM. About the Role: Reporting to the QA Manager, the role will be responsible to ensure that all the critical control points and quality control is monitored during production so that defects can be identified early in the process, followed by appropriate actions before product can be released. Hours of work: Monday to Friday, 38 hours/week Key Responsibilities: Monitoring production process through routine visual inspection of the products Conduct and record Scale calibration checks, Metal checks, Gas analyzer checks, Air temperature checks, Thermometer verification checks, Label checks, Product assessment etc. Record all findings, file daily records systematically for traceability and ensure appropriate corrective actions are taken in a timely manner. Complete Black Bag (foreign body) audits. Ensure Factory compliance to GMP. Working closely with production to ensure delivery of high-quality products. Any other duties necessary to ensure the responsibilities of the role are executed. About You: You will have: HACCP or Food Safety Training Previous experience in a similar role Previous Experience in the food industry, such as seafood, meat, or poultry, or in food safety inspection will be highly regarded. Good Communication Skills Sound understanding of all WHS protocols. Ability to work well in a team environment in cold temperatures. High standards of accuracy and precision Results oriented approach, High attention to detail, self-motivated, focused, and reliable. High level of analytical and problem-solving skills.
