Key Responsibilities of the Post. A. Service Delivery 1a To improve children and young peoples mental health through the delivery of an integrated and coordinated system of community based mental health care to children, young people and their families, providing safe, culturally competent, effective, cost efficient, timely and accessible services that are in accordance with national and local priorities and responsive to the needs and views of local children, young people and their families. 2a To deliver independent prescribing to Children and Young People, who need pharmacological intervention and review. To also provide clinical input to the team, delivering practice within best evidence and to the highest possible standard. The post sits within the CAMHs Service delivering assessment and treatment interventions in line with NICE Guidelines. 3a For non-medical prescribers the role will involve the use of an evidence-based approach to assess and make an informed prescribing decision for a defined caseload of children and young people. Colposcopy is based within The Womens Health Unit where a number of out-patient clinics provide person centred care for women with a wide variety of gynaecological needs. These clinics include urogynaecology, colposcopy, hysteroscopy, and the termination of pregnancy service. The gynaecology outpatient department is also attached to the unit and nursing care rotates throughout the two departments. Although usual hours of work for the womens health unit are from Monday to Friday 08:00- 17:30 (times dependent on clinical sessions allocated) there may be occasional requirement for weekend and evening clinical sessions.
