Manchester Royal Eye Hospital provides Ophthalmic care for patients from the North West of England and beyond. As a member of the Patient Services Team you would be part of our front of house function, providing calm and professional communication and help to our patients. Flexibility, pro-activity and tact are key as you seek to provide the best service possible to our patients.
Reporting to the team leaders you will cover our outpatient and eye emergency services contributing to projects as appropriate.
The main duties include:
• Providing patients a point of contact and welcoming presence during their attendance.
• Booking follow up appointments as requested.
• Ensuring a patient is checked in and the demographic information is correctly inputted to reduce inequalities in care.
• Maintaining flow in clinics with our nursing colleagues.
• Working with clinicians to ensure all patient attendances have an outcome.
