You will play a pivotal role in building the external reputation through corporate communications and external affairs, and through the development and management of the organisations brand. You will have excellent writing skills and the ability to make complex environmental science engaging for diverse audiences, including parliamentary audiences, and internal staff members.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and lead improvements to the internal communications channels and content to drive staff engagement.
- Develop and maintain the intranet, coordinating champions across the organisation to ensure content is engaging, easy to find and up to date.
- Support senior staff with internal communications and external engagement, preparing briefings, speeches, and presentations.
- Develop the organisations brand across external and internal audiences, advocating for its use internally and managing its application.
- Manage the production of key corporate communications in print, multimedia, and digital formats, such as the annual report and accounts and key strategy documents.
Personal Profile:
- Has experience of leading and delivering internal and corporate communications to support external reputation building and internal collaboration.
- Has experience of managing brand and design work, including infographics, event collateral, print and digital brochures, and reports.
- A confident, strategic communications professional with a strong background in academia, or research institutions (desirable, not essential)
- Is able to create compelling communications pieces in different media and formats, managing them from first concept through to publication.
