This position is located within the Department of the Interior, Office of the Secretary, Orphaned Wells Program Office, Program Administration Division. This position may be filled in Washington, DC -OR- Denver, CO.
At the full performance level GS-13 the major duties of this position include, but are not limited to the following:
- Provides support in managing numerous requests for data and information, including individual requests from internal and external stakeholders, and proactively publishing data on the OWPO external website.
- Responds to request for statistical data by performing data mining or data analytics and creating data visualizations, ensuring the visualization is clear, concise, and tailored to the intended audience.
- Works independently and as a member of a team to lead and coordinate the efforts of other OWPO incumbents and stakeholders in solving complex and far-reaching data management issues and problems for a wide range of systems, applications, and customers.
- Develops, modifies, and utilizes relational databases to maintain geographic and/or geologic data for conducting operational and planning analyses. Oversees development and operation of geographic and/or geologic data collection systems directly and/or in coordination with other government agencies and non-Federal sources.
- Analyzes the technical and policy requirements needed to implement recommended digital solutions. Collaborates with internal and external teams to define, develop, and implement creative web content vision, strategies, and solutions.
- Develops, monitors, and manages project plans that outline the scope, schedule, and/or budget of assigned projects.
OS has determined that the duties of this position are suitable for telework and the selectee may be allowed to telework with supervisor approval.
Salary Information:
First time hires to the Federal government normally start at the lower salary range of the grade level.
Denver, CO - GS-13: $109,107 - $141,836
Washington, DC - GS-13: $112,015 - $145,617
