You must have relevant experience working with 11 - 16 year olds within the last 2 years and we must be able to obtain relevant references for this time. You should have a professional manner and a flexible attitude to working and timetable changes. Most importantly, you should be enthusiastic, engaging and passionate about working with young people. Strong behaviour management and the ability to implement schools' behaviour polices is also essential. To be successful, you will be a Qualified Teacher (ECT's welcome to apply) and have recent experience of teaching History across Key Stage 3 and 4.

Job Description:

• Delivering engaging and creative History lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Supporting, advising, guiding and supervising students throughout the school day.
• Supporting History classes in the absence of the timetabled staff/teacher.
• Delivering the cover work established in the absence of the teacher.
• To have a primary focus on maintaining good order and ensuring students are on task so that learning can take place.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. ECT's welcome to apply.
• Bachelor's degree in History or related field.
• Recent experience teaching History at secondary school level.
• Strong behaviour/classroom management.
• The ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and staff members.

Hays Education are representing a South Leicester based secondary school that are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic KS3/KS4 Maths Teacher to join their team on a temporary basis to cover maternity leave. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Maths across KS3 and KS4. The candidate should have a strong understanding of the national curriculum and be able to deliver engaging and challenging lessons. As this is a long-term job, you will have full teaching responsibilities, including planning and marking.


Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging and challenging lessons that meet the needs of all students.
• Assess and monitor student progress and provide feedback to students and parents.
• Work collaboratively with other teachers and support staff to ensure the best possible outcomes for students.
• Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of the Maths curriculum.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress and assessment results.

You will need:
