We will count on you to:

• Lead a team that of actuaries, actuarial and data analysts, clinicians and health policy consultants supporting multiple large, complex capitation rate setting and other actuarial projects.
• In conjunction with other project leaders, work with the client to define and manage the scope of the project, serve as an expert on rate structures and methodologies, and ensure consistency with federal regulations and actuarial standards. 
• Oversee the development of rate setting assumptions that are built into actuarial models and inform client and project teams on the impact of data and assumptions, and provide on-going review and guidance throughout the rate setting process.
• Collaborate with client and projects team to finalize rates and educate clients on the impact of their policies on the data and rates.
• Work directly with clients on emerging and/or unique challenges facing their programs, and leverage the skills and expertise of Mercer actuaries, clinicians, and health policy consultants to design innovative and comprehensive solutions.
• Oversee the drafting of project communications, including rate certification letters and presentations, and act as an actuarial authority that signs rate certification letters and other statements of actuarial opinion.
• Work with project leaders to identify growth and development opportunities for experienced actuaries, junior actuaries, and actuarial students on project teams. Provide guidance, oversight and mentoring for actuarial staff as needed.

What you need to have:

• BA/BS degree
• Actuarial credentials (ASA or FSA, MAAA) strongly preferred
• 10+ years minimum health actuarial experience, with 5+ Medicaid actuarial experience

Job Scope:

a. Provide administrative support for the smooth and effective operations for the Science Lab, including preparing materials and experimental set-ups for science lessons as required by teachers

b. Perform administrative duties including the preparation and verification of documents received relevant to the department, maintaining and updating of stock records, filing and typing relevant documents required for the department.

c. Preparation and stock taking of deskcopies for distribution and collection from teachers.

d. Ensuring safety and cleanliness in the Science Lab, Makerspace and gardens around the school are maintained.

e. Ensuring security of Science Lab and Makerspace items.

f. Ensuring signages in the gardens are well-maintained and accounted for.

g. Monitoring the use of Makerspace by students and ensuring products placed at Makerspace are accounted for.

h. Work together with teachers in the department for projects/ activities (e.g., gardening, recycling, toy making, feeding of fishes).

i. Undertake any duties/projects as assigned by the school

Requirements:

1. Possess at least one of the following qualifications:

a. Full GCE ‘A’ Level/ 2 GCE ‘A’ Level Passes;

or b. Higher Nitec in Accounting/ Certificate in Business Studies;

or c. 3 GCE ‘O’ Level Passes; or Nitec in Service Skills (Office)/ Nitec in Office Skills / Certificate in Office Skills;

or ESS Career Readiness Certificate (Operations)

Job Scope:

Teaching and Learning

· Prepare materials, apparatus and Science labs for the conducting of Science experiments including the hydroponics system (including vertical hydroponics), vermicomposting and mushroom cultivation.

· Assist teachers in science-related activities in the lab during lessons and enrichment lessons if required.

Maintenance

· Ensure that the Science apparatus, equipment, teaching and learning resources are in serviceable conditions including reporting of damages to science level head and head of department.

· Administer the maintenance of the school eco-garden including reporting the conditions of the plants to science level head and head of department.

· Arrange for feeding of fish in pond at eco-garden.

· Administer the maintenance of the Hydroponics system including reporting of damages and faults to science level head and head of department.

· Assist the Science HOD in the monitoring of the inventory for Science apparatus, equipment, teaching and learning resources.

School events

· Assist teachers in preparation of activities for Environmental club and science-related events.

Requirements:

- Full GCE ‘N’ or ‘O’ Level certificate or its equivalent

- Good communication and inter-personal skills

- Good team player with high level of initiative

- Preferably certified in basic First Aid, CPR and AED

- Preferably with relevant work experience in primary school laboratory

- Previous experience with hydroponics, vermicomposting and mushroom cultivation is preferred
