Government Informatics Consultant
We will count on you to:
Utilize SAS programming software to interpret, validate and analyze large health care data sets. Participate in meetings with client or project lead to define the scope of the project. Provide insight and expertise on defining the analysis, including knowledge of the capabilities and flexibility of various approaches. Ensure accurate information is collected to determine project and data scope. Evaluate project scope to determine whether to update an existing process or create a new analysis/process. Define data process based on project scope, insight from the project lead and direction for the project's actuarial advisor. Ensure analysis captures the full scope of the project, adheres to actuarial best practices, and conduct future adjustments. Work directly with client to clarify project scope and be resource for client to answer project related questions. Perform technical peer review for data analysis projects. Identify data anomalies and exceptions as observed in project deliverables such as reports and analysis. Understand the reasons and impacts of data anomalies and exceptions on the analysis in order to explain these issues to senior staff or project lead. Analyze data issues and formulate possible solutions. Communicate data anomalies with project and client team and provide insight, and direction to issues regarding the data anomalies. Lead a team and manage multiple tasks on different projects simultaneously including, organizing project workflow and delegating project tasks to junior staff, manage quality, and ensure client deliverables are client ready. Assist in the development of client communications, proposals, reports, spreadsheets, and presentations. Work in a fast-paced, challenging and dynamic consulting environment with colleagues across all organizational levels to meet and exceed client demands and deadlines. Utilize understanding of health care delivery systems, specifically government-sponsored health and welfare programs, such as Medicaid and Medicare. Participate on interviewing teams and/or serve as mentor for junior staff. Participate in a mentorship program with veteran consultants that have years of experience in the consulting industry. Collaborate with a focused group of colleagues on smaller team based assignments with opportunities to participate in larger scale client and industry projects.
What you need to have:
Must have Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business Analytics, Business Administration, or a related field plus five (5) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the position offered, as an Informatics Data Analyst, Programmer Analyst, Business Analyst, Process Associate, or a related position. Must have three (3) years of experience with: Performing analyses and research data using SAS; Providing insight and expertise on defining requirements specific to Medicaid healthcare projects; Leading a team of analysts ensuring that deadlines are met, work is of highest quality, and resources are used efficiently; Providing training as needed to analysts so they may complete their projects; Communicating with Medicaid clients concerning their data and speaking to non-technological people about highly technical projects, concepts, or problems; Providing in-depth writing and scope of work documents for RFPs or contract renewals; and Consulting with clients and internal team concerning new Medicaid initiatives or projects.

Senior Health and Benefits Consultant
What can you expect?
The Senior Health Consultant will work collaboratively to lead consulting engagements with 500+ life employers regarding their medical, dental, life and disability benefit plans and programs and negotiate with benefits carriers and vendors to secure health and welfare plan coverage for these employers. The senior consultant will develop client strategies, interfacing directly with clients and developing vendor relationship

The applicable base salary range for this role is $83,500 to $167,000.The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
