Our client is seeking a Quality Control Site Operative on a full-time permanent basis for their Avonmouth site. Ranking within the top companies in the world for permanent carbon capture in a commercialised process, not only is this a permanent job, but you will be playing your part in reducing the worlds carbon emissions.
Working 40 hours per week over a rotating 3-week shift pattern. 1 full week of each of the following:
- AM Shift – 6am to 2pm
- PM Shift – 2pm to 10pm
- Night Shift – 10pm to 6pm
Duties
- Receiving of raw materials, testing of these, and providing feedback to ensure production plans are met whilst ensuring quality product.
- To take responsibility for the accurate testing and data entry of incoming materials and of processed aggregate. To assist the Shift Team with vehicle management, administration, record keeping and documentation for the efficient running of the plant and the teams.
- Identify the customer account and material (delivered or collected) and ensure that the correct vehicle registration, customer, product, haulier, source/destination, and order number is recorded.
- Be aware and control all vehicle movements on site including raw material deliveries, processed aggregate loading/collection and various suppliers ensuring waiting time is minimised.
Person Specification
- Full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle, due to site location there are no public transport links. (Essential)
- Highly computer literate with a high level of numeracy and literacy skills. (Essential)
- Accurate, diligent, and strong organisational skills with the ability to offer suggestions and improvements within a growing business. (Essential)
- Methodical and an eye for attention to detail and pride in accuracy. (Essential)
- Excellent and professional communication skills, both written and verbal. (Essential)
- Experience within an aggregates, concrete or waste environment. (Desirable)
- Have previous experience with material testing and/or a laboratory environment. (Desirable)
- Forklift/telehandler/loading shovel certificate (Desirable)
