Duties:
• Organising the daily run and ensuring the apprentice has everything he needs to succeed. While this may seem trivial, it is a major part of a tradesman’s day to make sure that not only their day is prepared but the apprentice too.
• Carry out preliminary checks at the job site on arrival to ensure the safety of the site for himself and any apprentices working under him on the day who might miss safety issues.
• Reading plans from drawings to set out installations.
• Installation of various systems including heat pump, VRF heat recovery, CRAC air conditioning systems.
• Working with refrigerant -As a fully qualified refrigeration mechanic it is important on site to do all the working out and handling of refrigerant.

Responsibilities

• Create and execute a strategic sales plan that expands our customer base of Automotive and Motorcycle retail finance business in Myanmar, Indonesia, Philippines and Thailand.
• Conduct weekly checking of the volume of the finance amount, delinquencies, track financial Key Performance Indicators, identify trends, opportunities and present to the relevant stakeholders.
• Prepare compliance report on a timely basis.
• Support regional subsidiaries in matters relating to retail financing.

Requirements

• Minimum 8 years of working experience in automotive and motorcycle retail finance company in South East Asia.
• Good knowledge of accounting and finance is required.
• Comprehensive and deep understanding, knowledge, expertise in the Automotive and Motorcycle retail finance industry and wide network in Myanmar, Indonesia, Philippines and Thailand.
• Demonstrate a deep understanding of the Japanese Trading House's business development and investments.
• Business trips are necessary to communicate directly with the Management of Finance Companies, the frequency of business trips may be more than once a month potentially including weekends.

The Team

Role

The role’s initial focus will be to build databases and models with guidance from the team. Subsequently, the candidate is expected to assist and be responsible for delivering comprehensive fundamental analysis of the global thermal coal markets, including supply and demand. Ultimately, the individual will need to integrate commodities knowledge into freight research and be involved in formulating trading strategies.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct fundamental analysis and provide clear short-term and long-term forecast on commodities' flows.
• Develop and maintain demand and supply models of global commodities' trade.
• Monitor daily news to identify and flag potential risks or changes in market condition that could affect forecast.
• Ability to package valuable insights and translate market impact effectively to stakeholders.
• Build and maintain network with coal industry contacts in the market for data and crosschecking information.

Requirements:

• A Degree in Economics, Statistics, Business, or Shipping from a recognised university preferred.
• Ideally 3-5 years of experience in energy/power markets and freight shipping research.
• High level of proficiency in English and Mandarin.
• Possess strong in-depth analytical skills, and is meticulous and organized.
• Inquisitive and self-motivated individual who can work autonomously and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and model building.
• SQL/Python knowledge as well as experience in using visualization tools (PowerBI, Tableau or Holistic) will be advantageous.
• Ability to effectively communicate within the team and to other stakeholders within the organisation.
